Some stages don't have transitions and it will only smash him into some scenery. Same super attacks also have the same properties and will send him flying. You just need to try and figure which ones (for instance : the Meteor attack from Black Goku)
Assuming he's not talking about the last character it's random, not guaranteed.
And no it's not random, it happens every time if you do the right attack. Again, just do the tutorial, it's the last part.
Because "finish" only appears on-screen at one time, when you finish the final character: "destructive finisher".
And yes it is random. Go end with B on either City stage and see if it transitions. It doesn't always, sometimes the enemy just hits a building. In the exact same way as a super finisher is sometimes seen from space, sometimes from the ground.
Yep I just tried it 30times on West City and it never does a stage transition. To my knowledge, West City does not have a stage transition at all : it changes only if you destroy it with a super.
Okay so if you're right certain stages have a guaranteed transition and certain do not. If I'm right it randomly triggers (i.e. a front smash may or may not transition from city to mountains)
Which stages then trigger 100% of the time upon a knockback?
So it can be random or it has a specific trigger which is not hitting with strong. I don't know anymore ^^'
I think you're right though, maybe some are guaranteed. On the mountain level (rocky something) the knockback brings you to wasteland (5/5 attempts). In some levels, doing a super sometimes triggers a scene from space, sometimes from far afield. The cave level ALWAYS triggers from space, and then transitions to wasteland. So maybe some stages have random transitions and some don't.
I really need to figure the trigger for destroyed city though cause I can't do it at all.
Mystery solved, cheers !
1) There is Stage Transitions and Stage Destructions. Transitions change the location upon the death of a character with particular knockback (arial) attacks. Destruction change the location to the destroyed version upon character death with only some Level 3 finishers.
***Note: Double arrows [<->] mean you can transition repeatedly back and forth between the 2 stages as long as characters are around to keep dying for the transitions but there's no limit otherwise.
All transitions/destruction chains are below:
Space - (No Transition)
Land of Kais - (No Transition)
Namek -> Namek (destroyed)
Rocky (evening) <-> West City (destroyed) ***Repeatable back & forth endlessly and is the final end in the chain for many below:
Caverns/Cell Games -> Wasteland -> West City (destroyed) <-> Rocky (evening) ***Note Final 2 repeat endlessly
Tournament -> Beach -> Rocky (noon) -> Wasteland -> West City (destroyed) <-> Rocky (evening) ***Note Final 2 repeat endlessly
West City -> West City (destroyed) <-> Rocky (evening) ***Note Final 2 repeat endlessly
Keep in mind transitions are performed differently than destructions. Destructions requiring only some chacraters's Lev 3 Ultimates); and stage transitions are usually done with arial knockback finishers including air vanishes. And both of those are different from stage finishers where u are just knocked back into some building or slab done with ground knockback attacks. Some Stages like Space have 4 different angles for stage finishers even though there's no transitions or destructions....
Hope that helps...
