Same here, I have switch music off and later no more sounds at all.

Same issue, though mine is a bit wierder. I set the resolution to a 16:10 4k resolution and had no problems, except black bars on the side. Changed it to 16:9 4k, no black bars but no sound either...

I had this issue as well. I had no audio when I switched to fullscreen mode in the settings. Try changing to windowed mode and set the resolution to 1080, this should basically look fullscreen and hopefully fix your audio issue. I also had to change to windowed mode a couple times because the setting wouldn't stick. So change the setting and close the game, open it again and if you still don't have audio make sure the setting is still set, if not, try again.

Also make sure it isn't set to Windowed Fullscreen, that didn't work for me either. It has to be set to Windowed.

I have fixed it by changed the screen settings. They were not saved and not correct. Change settings, leave game and restart.

I fixed it!

Go into the game folder and find UE4_PrereqSetup_x64, run that. It'll install some dependencies for the unreal engine. It worked after that.

Yup it worked. Thanks

Testando as configurações gráficas o som parou.

Resolvi alternando de tela cheia para modo janela. Nas opções gráficas.

Após mudar para o modo janela é preciso entrar no jogo para salvar as configurações, sair do jogo e entrar novamente.

I have the problem when changed to full screen.

I solved change the screen to window mode. Is necessary enter the game to save the changes, then exit and enter again.

Sorry for the bad english.

I think the problem is the window does not have focus by default when you launch the game by steam... If you use a controller you can still play the game even when it doesn't have focus, but with no sound. The fix for it is to click anywhere on the screen.

This little file it's the reason they audio is not working.

xaudio2_7.dll

I recently install Assass's Creed Unity. In order for the game to stop crashing i had to replace the xaudio2_7.dll for another file. (i save a copy of the original).

Just restore the file and it should work fine.

That same file also corrupts A WAY OUT for PC. (game doens't even launch).

So yeah, just try to always restore the xaudio2_7.dll back the original. That's all the help and tip i can give you.

Best of luck!

Not working for me. Did you restart afterwards?

I ran the setup and restarted my computer, but it didn't solve the issue of no sound. I sadly won't be able to use the TV's built-in speakers, but rather my laptop's. Is there any other way around?

OK I FOUND A REAL FIX.

Delete XAudio2_7.dll from your Windows/System32 folder.
Download Windows DirectX Web Installer. Run the installer to repair and replace the file you deleted. RESTART your computer. Should have sound now.

I tried all these other fixes, like running all redistributables. That did nothing.

Could this be the solution to all UE4 games? Damn, I'll try this out!

Did this work for you? I'm really curious to know if this works for other games. I cobbled the solution together from other forums with people having trouble with UE4 games in general, so I'm really curious is deleting the other files that cause issue and reinstalling DX does the trick for them as well.
