I myself want to buy the game, but since I wanna buy the ultimate version I'm holding off a bit since it's really expensive, so don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I just want some clarification on these statements.
I seriously doubt that Namco and ASW would make a game that would make them go almost bankrupt, even if you're 99% certain the game is gonna oversell it's development costs, that's really dangerous from a business standpoint, considering these are multi-million dollar companies, I seriously doubt it, but then again, I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Again, I doubt this is the "Best selling fighting game ever made", even the fact about it being "the most played fighting game in history of Steam" seems pretty like a pretty big stretch (again, I'd be happy if I'm proven wrong).
Now if you meant that Namco and ASW almost went over their budget and that the game is the best selling fighting game on day 1 on steam and of its current generation, it'd sound more believable.
Again, not trying to be mean, I myself really wanna buy the game, I just don't feel justified spending the current price on the edition I want until I'm completely and utterly convinced as I'm a sucker for anything Dragon Ball and most fighting games. I just feel very skeptical of these statements, but I'd be happy if I can be proven wrong, as that'd make me very happy with what ASW has accomplished in developing this game.
EDIT: Also there's no need to keep editing the title.

Not bad...
This game was designed FOR THE CONSUMER IN MIND, therefore this game comes with everybody in the base roster, it isn't designed for DLC.
The DLC roster comes with like base form Goku etc, nobody really wants that. If you want to buy the season pass just keep this in mind as you won't get characters you are interested in nor would you play.
How the heck do you know what I'm interested in? I for one would love base form Goku (although I've read that he actually won't be included as they've already planned out DLC's, including Broly, which I'd love).
On another note, still no sources listed.
So, gr8 b8 m8 r8 8/8.
But seeing Arc syste Works pulling even a greater squeme fiasco with the 20 DLC's characters in Blazblue X tag Battle, show me that they learned a lot from bandai namco and not otherwise.
The game costs 60 euros standard where live, 109 for the ultimate edition, putting aside what I earn an hour or whatever, most people where I live consider that quite a bit of money for a game.
But that's beside the point of bragging etc. The topic was actually about the production costs, but OP doesn't list any sources, makes huge claims and keeps changing the title of the topic, garnering these misdirected comments.
