How to connect a controller to the game?

I have a generic logitech controller that i use for all my games and i usually just plug it in and it connects but... not to this game. I know the game just came out but i just cant force myself to use the keyboard.

That should work for your controller since it's most likely a directinput controller.

I had controller issue at first with my Razer Panthera fight stick. I had to go into steam settings-> controller -> general controller settings and check the "Enable PS4 Configuration" checkbox, I also checked "Enable Xbox Configuration", and that seems to make it work.
