Not Compatible with 1440p fullscreen (solved, cause was a user error on my part)
Game does not run in 1440p in fullscreen mode. After switching to 1080p resolution on desktop settings, it began running fine.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i7 4790k Quad core @ 4 GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW
RAM: 16 GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
OS: Windows 10 Home
OS Build: 16299.125

hrm. Works for me and my setup is very similar to yours. The usual stuff, make sure drivers are updated... maybe try a reinstall of the game. Not sure what the issue could be.

I'm on 1440p and it runs fine, like it's set to 1080p in game but desktop is 1440p and it runs fine, I got same thing as you just the normal 1080 though

you will need to set up your screem resolution before running the game

I'm dumb, I was running fullscreen windowed and it breaks the game.

Switched to actual fullscreen mode @1440p, works fine now.

Sorry everyone, I just had a dumb moment.
