is there any way to try out new DLC characters before buying them?

i'm thinking about buying videl but want to know if she's fun to play before i buy her, is there any way i can test her out? (i know about ginyu's body change, i just want to know if there's an easier way)

There isn't an easier way. But as somebody who owns all characters, I'd say Videl is quite entertaining to use. She's also quite good.

There's a quirky way to try it very vriefly : Play the random course of the arcade with ginyu. If you encounter a character you want to play, do the body swap

yeah i tried that, but it takes a while for them to appear. it's be nice if there was an easier way but i guess not :/

Street Fighter V had events where you could try out DLC characters.

No but I reccomend Vegeto, GT Kid goku, sayain saga Goku and sayian saga Vegeta as they are easy to use and are pretty high on the tier list.
