Wife keeps cooking

I read to have a child you need to go to bed at the same time as your wife. Sounds logical. But I have this problem that my wife keeps cooking literally all day long. She does not go to bed. I can not interact with her, she keeps saying that she is busy. So I emptied the pantry so that there is nothing to cook with, but it did not help. Now she is pretending to cook, not making anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've not played this for a few years but if I remember correctly I approached my wife (in the garden) at just before 8.30 in the evening and spoke to her. Can't remember the exact interaction but something about going to bed. She'd reply that she'd join me in a minute. I'd then hang around the bedroom until she suddenly appeared (asleep). She would not seem to leave the garden at all if I watched her but only appear in bed when I wasn't looking.

Eventually she was pregnant.

A slow and rather tedious procedure.

Wish this game didn't have so much bugs, and that you would get a notification when your wife is pregnant. Hope the sequal to this game is much much much better, and not just a copy of this one but with just some graphical updates as I expect.

There was a public demo for FD2 available here on steam, before they retract it a few days ago for unknown reasons. That demo looked pretty much like just a clone of this game.

It had some extra survival aspects and some logging but the graphics, while better, did not wow me and the terrain graphics (in an albeit limited harvesting and ploughing demo) looked worse that this game

They should really have two stoves so that when she is in her manic cooking mode you can actually cook something yourself too and don`t have to wait for her cooking mania to surpass.

An extra stove is a luxury that most people living in an old 3-bedroom 1-bathroom farmhouse would be able to afford.
