Offline results in game not working properly??

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this while playing the game
At some point my internet went offline and a notice appeared in the bottom left hand corner saying "games does not function properly when not connected to the internet" or something similar.
Why it doesn't top start with is beyond me seeing as there is no online play at all on this. Secondly, i also found out what it does to your game
First: the fuel drops rapidly. Mine went from 90% to 45% within two minutes, the tractor did nothing but idle on the edge of the field
Second: your food levels drop just as quick, from 96 to something like 37
Third: your slepp stats decrease as though your guy is having a massive withdrawal symptoms from to much energy drink

Could the developers find a solution to this, if i know my internet is going to fail, i dont want to quit the game so i can keep the stats as they should be

the developers don't need to find a "solution"... it's on purpose.

Thats stupid really
Zero Punctuation has the right philosophy. " A game should be able to stand on its single player alone"
Farmer's Dynasty is a single player game and it punishes people who cant get a stable connection
if they put in a multiplayer, then put this in. But until then they shoiuld remove

puts me off playing the game, especially since the fuel levels drop in the vehicles as well. I spend more game money on fuel then anything else.

You did see the workaround in the thread Kaeru mentioned? Go offline in Steam before you start the game, then it will run properly without internet.
