But quite frankly if you don't like the game and you are within the refund window, grab a refund. no point keeping a game you don't enjoy and spend the money elsewhere.
But if you want to find all of the missing chests, do all the events that pop up and get small awards for completing them.
Perhaps manage to capture a mates heart , have a family and keep on growing your farm, etc. then keep on moving.
I personally enjoyed the grind, but I'm a different type of player. I managed to grind out all but a couple of the game awards. You might enjoy the Medevial Dynasty game more, perhaps more action. Just a thought. Either way find what makes you happy.
Hehe, games are not about real life, they're about escape from real life. Or would you like to have to wait half a year real-time for your crops to mature?
Simulators tend to be based on real life and although the term is used very loosely these days - as in what is considered a real simulator and what is just a game based on real life - you would expect things in a game based on real world events to take a long time. This is the hardest part for any developer of a simulator to get right, the fun to time scale. Of course ultimately this is a game and should be fun and things shouldn't take a 1:1 scale to do something, but then if something in the real world does take a long time it should be scaled correctly to reflect this. In the real world you wouldn't expect to be able to fully harvest an entire field in 20minutes? In a game though 20mins seems a reasonable amount of time to do the same task, to get the sense of achievement.
If a game day for example lasts 1 real hour, then you should expect to be able to get everything done in a day done in that hour. Again getting that sense of time right in a simulator is the hardest part.
As I have said before though, this game is obviously not agreeing with you, and you don't seem to be enjoying it so grab your refund and find a game that is more to your liking.
Customization of buildings is limited to basically fixing the preset wall style, picking a roof type, and maybe some limited coloring. Vehicles and trailers are limited to just color (and repairing the old ones to look new).
Personally I just use this game as a chill time to really do nothing.
If you want a similar game from the same developer you can try Lumberjack's Dynasty, which has similar mechanics to this game, but has a whole host of other customization options (You can upgrade equipment to run faster, have better braking, and use less fuel. You can paint walls and fences. You can further customize your house with new furniture that you can make yourself out of various wood types, as well as completely rearrange rooms. And there are a lot of other various tasks in the game as well). And a single forest of trees can keep you busy for hours.
