Air bricks
How and or with what can I cover or replace the ugly white air bricks?

You can use concrete plaster to paint over them. You can buy it in the store. It's opposite of the scratch coat bags.

Got it. Thanks. It's called "stucco" here in the US.
BTW Is there a way to paint the walls and ceilings different colors?

Inside the house you need scratch coat and finish coat for painting, if I remember correctly.

The concrete plaster is available in different colours, the finish coat just makes the walls and ceiling inside the house look nice and clean again.
