Have collected ALL the Hen Eggs, and also collected the Eggs in the Barn (next to the cow shed) but my farm statistics keep showing that there is 20 eggs to collect, where are ALL the Egg locations PLEASE?

There are usually some extra eggs if you have geese or ducks. These cannot be collected.

Some think this is a bug, but I personally believe that these extra eggs are a "pool" of eggs that can be hatched to gain more hens - if you have a rooster purchased.

Recent testing in a new game, I purchased 1 hen, rooster, ducks & geese. On the second day the rooster did his job well & a extra hen was added to the flock. I had some extra eggs that could not be collected with this game. These results are similar to most my other games, in that the game will have an information message that the rooster has done his job, & new hens were added. If you already have the maximum hens in the coop, then the extras are sold. Else, new hens will be added to the coop.

A new test game, I only bought 10 hens & a rooster - no ducks or geese. So far I do not have any extra eggs that cannot be found, which does confirm (so far) that the extra eggs are tied to the geese & ducks. I am going to run this new save for a while to see if the rooster will add any new hens to the coop.

Note: I did purchase pigeons in the previous save, but have not bought any yet for the newest save. If no new hens after a while, I intend to purchase some pigeons first, then add ducks & geese later, to see if the extra eggs are added. And if then the rooster starts the repopulating my hen house.
I am also one of the people that strongly believe that the "missing eggs" are a bug tied to the ducks/geese.

Before I got the ducks/geese, I had a full hen house w/rooster, and I never had any extra or un-found eggs but still got the "your rooster did a good job" notice and I did have 21 hens that day (which was automaticly sold the next day due to already having max hens).

Thank you Merck and Skippy, I feel much better now as you both think the 20 eggs not collected is down to a bug, quite honestly I must have spent an hour running round trying to find these invisible eggs.
I think the Devs have done a really good job with the updates and they have improved the game tremendously to what it was when I last played it.
ONE QUESTION: I would like to take advantage of one of the updates to change the colour of my house and buildings, have looked on the tube and cannot find anyone doing it - How do you change the colour, I have lost the mustard yellow and now have 'Magnolia' on all the buildings, I assume the colour change must have happened with an update. I would like BLUE but do not know how to do it - Can you help please?

There will be a building materials store north-east of your home. There you can buy blend of the right color.
Merck Dec 17, 2019 @ 11:26am
Jumbo, as V2200 stated, the Builders Supply just north of the farm has all the upgrading supplies you will need.

To change the style/color of the exterior buildings bricks you will have to buy the plaster coat (not the scratch coat & finish coat - those are for interior finishes). The concrete plaster will have a color select option display when you click on the skid of materials. Once you choose a color, then you can purchase as many skids as you require. The skids will be placed on the dock that is just opposite of the location you purchase them.

If you don't have a truck to transport the skids of material, you can use either fast travel or the bus stop to load up some materials, & then return to your farm & upgrade things.

i have max ducks and geese, 1 duck egg in 1 1/2 months.. says 19 to collect. Could it be, they are falling through the world, kinda like certain bushs not going away after the chainsaw treatment. Now thats annoying.

Oh and after 2 of each, they dont leave the barn
Merck Dec 17, 2019 @ 9:22pm
Most of those problem bushes are only during the current game session as you cut them down. After I exit out of the game & return, I have not had any more troubles with those invisible bushes. I am assuming that their hit-box doesn't get chopped down with the chainsaw, like the bush itself does, so there is a delay for the system to update the new data.

I still personally believe those extra eggs are tied to the rooster ...doing his job, & creating new hens. On my current two games, I only bought hens & the rooster. Still no information prompt that the rooster is increasing my flock.

DUCK

nope, they are always there after cutting, the top halfs. the brown sticks are gone after reload.

I have the rooster message a few times now, spoiler alret, $60 is what you get.

Odd, I have had the hit boxes disappear after restarts. Only collided with them right after cutting those bushes in the current game.

Yes, but have you have the extra eggs, & the ducks & geese. So far in my saves without ducks & geese (& pigeons), I have not yet ever seen the rooster message.

UPDATE - Finally had the rooster ...do his job, & I got some additional hens. So appears that do not need the extra eggs for this to happen.

Thank you very much Merck for the above, I had forgotten what to do! Happy New Year...

Like he said, Merck's just dead-on about that color scheme. Don't make the same mistake I did, and think that it would be easy to change. Tried it. Stuck with the butter color that I can see from Old Man's Wharf. Sinful.
If I'm not mistaken, if not using a truck, you can only take one pallet's worth at a time. After you buy it, you have to physically walk to the loading lock, and "E" on it. After your work, what you don't use will stack up on that original pallet, even if there's room for the same thing on another. I might be just totally wrong on this. I don't know if you can stack it anywhere on your farm, other than on a truck.
It should also be noted that, while upgrading, it is possible to run out of materials from the loading dock before you're done with your work. If this happens, you will need to get some more, and even though the loading dock is always open, the furniture AND materials areas of the store do close (I think about 20:00, like John does). I think when you "tab,"... it tells the time... and if there's a moon icon next to the time, most places aren't open.

Not sure if it's a glitch, but my steel pile near my greenhouse NEVER runs out. Maybe I can pull a Farming Sim 18 and spend the day selling infinite piles of this free stuff back to the warehouse.

Pozzy -
  1. I have in the past either used the bus stop or a vehicle to travel back & forth from the Builders Supply to my farm with a load of materials. Then when back at the farm, I press F2 for the upgrade tool (& material), to fix whatever I am working on.
  2. Yes the skids stay completely separate & don't consolidate when have a partial skid. I will often look at the quantities on skids, if I have multiples of the same materials. This way I can make sure to empty out the lowest skid first, & make more room to purchase/haul more supplies.

  3. If you have the HDS truck (with crane), you can offload the skids anywhere your heart desires. I will often drop off remaining skids at my farm or other job sites, so that I can then load up the truck with more from the Builders Supply building. A trick I found very early on, was that you can place nine skids on the bed of the HDS truck, plus pickup one more skid & keep it attached to the crane. I then center this on the truck to haul a total of ten skids of supplies.

  4. For those all night repair jobs, just buy the skids of materials you desire, & load up the Loading Dock. Then you can keep going back to the dock to get your materials, without having to worry that the Supply store is closed.

  5. No luck on selling that skid of metal at the greenhouse. There is only the one, & you are stuck with it. After the greenhouse is finished, the amount is somewhat restricted, in that you can often get only a few clicks on repairing items before you have to run back to the skid to load up again. So, although infinite - it does get to be a pain having to constantly run back to the skid to collect for a few more sections repaired.
