i think i have missed somthing badly about food. where do i get food near start of game

i have a bit of money so i can buy some

ther is some food down in the sellar, you can buy food from the shop neerbuy or get the 10 hens and food for them and you have like 10-15 eggs every day they only give +10 but you get so many of them

lol i feel dumb. i cannot seem to be able to pick the food up in the cellar and cannot find shop that sells food any ideas?

No worries, when you go down to the basement and go in a certain room, it will pop up the option to hit enter and pull up your pantry. Also, the guy that is just down the road from your farm (go right on the road that your house faces) and he buys/sells food items as well.

M for map, nearest place on map is shop/cafe. talk to the guy and option 1 is can we trade or such, click that to open shop menu.
For hens you need to search map for where to buy them.
