The bales can also be used to feed your cows, which is what many players do initially, since is saves you from having to buy feed. Just drop the bales inside any door of the cow barn. Use the Engineer's Sight, (default RMB) to look at the barn & see the current capacity.
But for 500 euros its not worth it to bale the straw and bring it to the sell point
When you make more money in the same time by fishing and selling your cooked fish.
The whole baling of straw is now useless and a waste of time in game.
Another thing is that you don't really have to go inside the complex to sell the bales. I found long ago that I could pull up to the fence, outside of the sell point, & still receive the prompt to sell the bales.
Finally, the developers have mentioned the possibility to stack bales in the barns. This may be a useful storage until prices rise. I often just leave the bales on the wagons, & when I get full loads, then I sell those that I don't require for feeding the cows.
So its not profitable to bale your straw now and only usefull if you need it for your cows (so once every 2 seasons)
The price nerf has destroyed one of the farming mecanics and thats a shame.
Damn straight. I paid a whole dollar fiddy for this game and it seems to be worth exactly that.
