I personally LOVE the New Plough, it whips through the Fields like lightening.
Get it first - that's my recommendation - I did, and earned a LOT of Money and Social Points with it.
I do not know how you normally use a plough, but with this one I always start at either the North or South end of the Field (there is apparently a BUG THAT CAUSES PROBLEMS WHEN YOU GO East to West?). and start in the "Center" of the field with the plough facing left (as you look from the back of the tractor forward) it seems to give a better straighter plough cut in that position (maybe I imagine it - But...).
At the end of the field after the first cut, don't turn the blade and make the second cut back down the field (left hand side of original cut). Then after the second cut at the bottom of the field don't turn the blade, and start cutting on the left hand side of YOUR FIRST cut line, this way YOU NEVER NEED TO TURN THE BLADE whilst ploughing the field (and that saves a lot of time AND effort on your part)!!
When you have ploughed 2/3rds of the field to save travelling from each cut line back and forth, (whic obviously gets wider the more you plough) go to the left or right hand edges of the field and cut those parts which need doing one after the other.
Hope you can understand me Tombsi, I always do it that way and I seem to get through it fast, and you can see all the ploughing you have done, and it therefore spurns you on to do more.
Hope I helped, if you have NOT done it that way before, give it a try and let me know what you think?
Another, handy thing for me was to map the rotation of the plow to one of the side buttons on the mouse. This makes it very easy to rotate the plow "on the fly.." as I turn at the ends of the fields. Now, I tend to keep the plow in one rotation for most of my plowing, but sometimes I do rotate it, depending on the current conditions.
Thanks buddy I will try out what you said, havent had much chance past few days but soon as im on I will test!
