Are there apples to be found in the surrounding yet?

As I already said in the title: did anybody happen to find wild apples anywhere? I know, those have been mentioned in one of the earlier patchnotes, but I didn't find even one apple so far. I know, I can trade them, but since it was claimed that they can be found in the wilderness, I expect this to be possible. So, any hint for me? Particular kind of trees to look for or anything else?

Not yet in game. There is apple trees next to the greenhouse. Dont use chainsaw on them as they don't grow back.

I already noticed those apple trees and I certainly didn't plan to chop them down. But in the patchnotes they told about wild apples to be found in the wilderness. That's another thing, than harvesting them in a plantation. This is, why I asked my question.

Yep we all been waitng for some apples on the trees. I think the only apples I got so far came from the treasure chests

There are more apples to be found, if you try to trade with the NPCs. I can point to one women, named Maddison, who can be found near the "town" area north of your farm. There is a small lake nearby and you can find her roaming around there. Another NPC who trades apples is also a woman, you can find her in front of the church south of your farm, just travel to the church and look for a woman with a white clothing and dark hair (I just dont't remember her name). Those two Women trade apples every once in a while. There are others, but you need to be lucky to find them and I don't remember their names, to be honest.

We got berries and mushrooms (see after the apples patch note) I believe we will get the apples and active fruit trees at a later time. They just decided to give the berries and mushrooms first. The NPCs with apples in inventory is something entirely different.

They simply didn't amend the patch notes afterward to reflect the rollout change.
