How to get a wife.

I have no clue if others posted this yet. If not here it goes.

Help and tricks on how to get a wife: Make sure you have atleast 50 000 social points. The higher your social points are, the faster it can go. This step by step was done when I was between 50 000 social points and 90 000 social points. If you are lower than 50 000, you might have to talk to the ladies more often to complete every steps.

1st: Talk to ladies everywhere on the map, I talked to most of them and got 50 social points per conversation (option 2) complimenting them. You can right click to skip the dialogue, you dont have to listen to the whole conversation.

2nd: I Talked to the women about once every 2 days to make sure "the timer" actually resets. I heard you can only compliment them once per real hour. Since 1 game hour is about 5 minutes, that means 12 hours in game you can talk to the ladies.

3rd: Multiple steps: (emoticon) (You need to work harder if you have under 50 000 social points)
[1st step]: Yellow face with a straight line [ ._. ]. System will say she is liking you a bit more. You will need to talk about 2 or 3 times to get to the next step.
[2nd step]: Green smiley face [ :) ]. System will say she is growing fond of you. You will need to talk about 2 or 3 more times to get to the next step.
[3rd step]: Green happy face with hearth for eyes [ :D ]. System will say she is growing fond of you. Gift may be exchanged. I dont know if its implemented, but depending on the value of the gift, you might "score" higher points. with Becky, I was able to give her a silver ring and a golden ring. At that point, the marriage proposal was offered in the chat box option.

4th: Once you hit that proposal, there is no going back, you will lose the rest of the day and wake up in bed next to her.

So far, Im married, first season on august 29th.

Since it will make it much easier for players to find if all consolidated on one forum. I added some notes there also awhile back (they are on page 2 of the forum).

Also you could format the information to make it a bit easier to read. If you click the "Formatting Help" button below the chat box, it has the codes you use for formatting. It is really rather easy. "{list}" gives you an bulleted list, & "{olist}" gives you a numbered list. Then for each item in the list you just proceed them with "{*}". Note: I substituted currly quotes for square qoutes in the examples.

Well...

I dont mean disrespect to you, but your last paragraphe there... to me, it look like you smashed your head on a keyboard and rolled it on the keyboard. I have no "format" schooling what so ever. My schools required me to have a pencil, a pencil sharpner and an eraser.

Obviously, you know more things then I do. If you wish to "compose" said symphony, by all means, take my info and add it to where you feel it will be mostly read.

The first thing I did, was search for "how to get a wife" in the search area, and since I found more questions than answers, I posted this here so that people like me who wants an easy search can get a quick answer.

I was just trying to display that the chat system has a very handy formatting system that could make some postings much clearer for others to read. Right at the bottom of these forum pages is a button that is called

Formatting help

, which displays how your can use them. As it states; "These markup tags allow you to add formatting to the text of your comments and posts, similar to HTML".

So say you want to make a list of items like you did in your first posting. For example:

1. 1st: Talk to ladies...

Unfortunatly with my first posting, I could not actually show the 'markups' that I used, since they would have 'formatted' the text accordingly. So I switched the square quotes ([]) used for markups with currly quotes ({}) in the above examples.

Also a very good practice is to try different 'key' words in your searches, since often your first search may not give you all your want (or sometimes way too much), So then remove or change a few 'key' words in the search. This often narrows down your search considerably.

Who did you marry?

I ended up chosing Janet (from farm with greenhouses just across lake from farm - to the north). I started working on her a while back, & figured she already had a quest, which was stated by the Devs as one of the ways to get a better status for the ladies, & this help text: "People will like you more if you are eager to help them." I had originally picked the lady at Oliver's place, but I never received a quest from her, & it was taking a very long time to up her status.

I also chose her since she was close enough to visit almost every day. Which helped me with the compliments, as per these in-game help texts;

• You may choose almost any woman for your wife, but it will take time and effort to have her love you.
  
• Women like to hear compliments, just not too often. Use your words wisely.
  
• Women will accept gifts, but only if they like you enough already.

This all lead to me having the option to trade with her, which I did as often as I complimented her. It was then just a short time to getting the 'Red heart' above here head.

When the Devs did that last update, which made it easier to marry, I immediately drove up to her place, & checked the options. I was able to ask her to marry me!

Awesome guys, sorry, I dint take any pictures. Since most weddings are the same, I think its safe to assume that most picture are almost the same.
