Clara's Quest doesnt end?
Hi, i have a problem with clara's quest, where i have to plow her field, i did that twice, first i plowed till there was no green on her field, then i plowed straight lines (like i saw on google since im not a farm boy and i dont know anything about farming). Her quest just doesnt end, any tips or pics perhaps? What am i missing? Also, do i really need her plow? Can't i just buy one?

when you plowed her field completely, you'll recieve the message, now to cultivate her field.
you need to get your own grubber for that, by your barn.
when you finished that, she will say the plow is yours.

and you'll need that plow, it's the only one to work with the old tractor.
it would even be hard to get enough money to buy the new one, if you hadn't the old, but in the end you cannot even connect the new plow to the old tractor. the old trac is much to weak to handle the big new plow.

This is the field, i plowed it, at least i think i did, it looks plowed to me honestly, and she still didnt send a message. What am i doing wrong?

You have to plow it completely. Try using your right mouse button to view the field via the engineers sight. It will show you with your current plowing method only about 80%. You got to plow it at least up to 97%.

So, just to be clear : you have to plow the edges and the gaps too.

The "yellowish" areas are not plowed... you need to run the plow closer to the previous run...

i remember using right click while repairing my farm and seeing info on fields, i didnt pay it any mind, if i did id probably have remembered haha, its done now, thanks guys, cultivating was way easier because i could actually see my progress and it looked better than my randomly drawn lines in dirt with the plow.

I have some more questions if thats okay, i can repair doors with metal, is this required or is it a preference? (metal doors over wooden doors), and can i do this with anything else? like the wooden roof i repaired? And why do i still have 24x metal when ive repaired the greenhouse and fences, why doesnt it go down?

Alpha game, they're working on the upgrades so soon you will have to buy materials more often...
Metal vs Wood is a personal choise. If you buy wood planks at the store you can change them to "new wood doors" any tiume you want.

Just main thing to remember about Upgrades. They are mostly 'cosmetic', in that they are a way players can re-decorate the farm the way they want it too look. But the vast majority of jobs only require Repairs, with the exception of livestock buildings which the better condition they are the better output of eggs & milk you will recieve.

Repairs are free (no cost for materials), basically you are using old boards & matieals found at the work site. Upgrades currently cost $10 per skid & have unlimited materials. This is only temporary, due to the Devs setting it so that us players can try out the various items at this early stage of the game (for bug testing, & other reasons). But costs will be raised & skids will have limited materials in the future (as the game evolves).

Another question, how can i get materials from unloading ramp to my farm? And how do i get grains to the mill to sell? The truck is downright useless in both of these cases.
Merck Jan 22, 2018 @ 12:01pm
For the building materials you need the HDS truck with the crane on the back. It is the only current way to move the building materials. Many players who don't own the truck just fast travel back & forth, activating 1 material per time. This is now even easier with the bus stops working in the game.

For hauling the grain to the elevator, you can use either grain wagon. Both the old & new wagons can be pulled by either tractor. Note; You don't have to drive just on the roads! I drive pretty much anywhere I want (except for planted fields). The map isn't really that big, or take too long to travel.

Thx, is the old wagon a reward for quests like the tractor and harvester?

Steve has the old Grain wagon. He is located far south of farm (slightly west).

He asks you to do some repair work on his buildings. Just take the tractor by itself, so that you can pull the wagon back to the farm.

Also, note you don't want to 'overfill' the wagon with commodities, since any extra just spills. I think it holds 4,200kg at 100%. So just stop filling before that point.

by commodities i assume you mean grains and such? And hopefully my last questions (since the game doesnt really offer much in the form of useful information yet) :

1. Do i get food for animals for the first time or do i have to buy it? (i read on the beginner guide that i get 1000kg or such for the first time?)

2. Veggies and such from the greenhouse, do i sell them separately? (like, i keep them in the inventory and sell them at the guy down the road?)

3. I have some chickens and i bought food but i dont know if and how and where to put the food for them, or does that happen automatically? Same for cows (which i dont own yet, but my question stands)

4. How do i make bales of hay for cows to eat?

5. Do i need to keep some of my crops or can i just sell them all?
Victor Jan 22, 2018 @ 2:05pm
1 - Correct, RMB near the cow shed and it will show.
2 - Yes, you sell them to John (the market near your farm, in front of the bus stop.
3 - Animals food is automatic, just keep it on stock.
4 - You need the baler, you will get it on a quest after you get the trailer and some other machinery.
5 - Sell them all, you can keep them, don't need to, there is no reason since no animal needs it and prices don't change so no need to sell it later to earn more money.

Actually there is a lot of useful information in the game, just that many of use miss it when it is displayed.

Check out page 4 of, "A Quick Guide for New Players.."

I posted all the "help text notes" that are displayed while the game is loading. Also, talking to many of the NPC's, they often have an option to give you tips for farming.

Along, with the RMB (Engineer's Sight), which as this help text states; "Use your Engineer’s Sight often. It will provide useful information about buildings, fields, vehicles and objects.".

And yes I did mean crops & grains, when I said commodities.
