It's also a good indicator for developers too. Players want to see certain things in a game and modders often add those things, especially if the modding API allows full integration rather than just allowing modders to add more tractor models etc. Seeing how many subscriptions to a specific mod would help developers to decide what additions to the game would be received well.
Really should have been. Maybe it wouldn't have died if mods would have been considered.

Sorry, but a game without mods is far too fast a dead game without mods.... :(
It's sad, but some nasty people tried to put Farmer's Dynasty in the bag before it was even launched from Steam.
Hopefully, one day a new version will be launched with excellent farming and sims telling us their stories.
