Its not exactly the same. FD have way less machinery and crops and its more of a RPG than a farm simulator. In FD you can marry, have kids, cook, fish, etc
I would say it has 50h of content before you get bored.
In FS18 everything is toy. I like this game more
FS bored me too. Corners are square. Too linear. I mean, yeah, it's nice that the workers have different skills. But you don't need them; there's a way to generate money which is no fun at all, takes no skill and makes you feel after a half hour that you'll never load it again.
FS is fully focused to the farming machineries and works - they spend a lot of work in a good graphics and the simulation it self.
This game is more focused at the social parts - its easier to be compared to games like staxel or stardew vally (of course - better graphics :D )
You have a very limited amount of machinery and the simulation of them is not very detailed - more like FS08. But in opposite to FS - this game has a real dynamic ground , seasons and its not raining inside the buildings :p
You spend more time in walking around , talking to people , trading , cooking , flirting instead of just working.
dont expect another FS copy - this one is different. Is it something for you ? Noone can tell you.
