How to do a Sonar in Treasure Hunter

After equipping a new mod in Treasure Hunter I have 40 seconds or so to hit three Sonars to get points, but I see nothing blinking I think.
How to do it?
I even hit 2 once but never knew how (I had a multiball going).

I haven't played that table in a while, but I think you need to shoot the ball up the right ramp. Don't quote me on that, though.

I'll give the table a play now and see...

Edit #1: Nope, I was wrong. Maybe by hitting targets? I seemed to get a sonar sound when hitting the lower left side target.

It's not in the rules but I managed to find it some time later.

Opening the kickbacks gives sonar pings, for those who want to know :)
