Why dont i have a tutorial?

When i create a new world i dont have a tutorial that would guide me. I watched Youtube tutorials on the game but they dont help because for some reason i cant even open the merchant book. Please help.

as far as a tutorial goes i know some basic things you need to do to get items.
#1. collect stuff by your house on ground using 'e' key. takes a few clicks.
#2. go door knocking. sometimes you can unlock more items. i don't do this much later in game.
#3. can trade worms and herbs to fisherman on dock for some fish that customers want occasionally.
#4. upgrade some your collected items by crafting. not all items trade.
When you did first 3 or 4 things sell as many possible at shop. I did quite well a few times made around 500 give or take depending if i bought from merchant. think 2 merchants a day sell you stuff.

You need price items before you sell them. try to get just right instead of too low or too high. may need adjust prices a few times to get what customers will pay.

if you make enough money can buy farms and grow several variety plants to use or sell. farms are 800 each.

about upgading shop do at you will remember sell excess shops if you can. i think only 2 show up and a third isnt in game. i havent tested if it stops at 3 shops or deletes them. i have to test this out more.
