Nice job finding that out. It helps the community with some insight into what the developer is doing. Brutal that one would so blatantly do this and not mention ♥♥♥♥ to the community. If you are comfortable can you PM me the name and contact...I log a lot of this stuff for future in case they launch new projects.
As you can see, they didnt listen! The real problems with the game started over a year ago when they updated to the new version of Unity and it went downhill after that! No matter how much testing and turning in reports we did, the game got worse and worse.
They had a great idea and the early stages of the game was a total blast! It was a lot of other games Ive played before but had all the best ideas rolled into one! But they just couldnt pull it through and I blame them for upgrading to the new Unity engine as well as only having one coder! I and others told them they need more experienced help to get through the rough patch and get the game back on track, but that didnt happen!
Its a damn shame really, for a couple of guys who claimed to work on other big titles they acted like they were totally in the dark most of the time when it came to the business end of the industry and apparently making a game in general.... I just dont understand it myself!
Not sure if they totally abandoned it or what, I would like to think they didnt, but they ran out of money I guess? Maybe doing other jobs to come back to it later?
I really dont know and neither does anyone else cause the communication got cut off at the knees.
They didnt even have the guts or courage to face us and tell us what had happened....
And because they didnt tell us anything, didnt have the guts, or keep us informed of what was going on.... they are #Blacklisted until they do address the situation.
As for me? Lesson learned and I have a criteria now for how to invest in a small studios projects as well as rules I abide by now.
Am I pissed? Somewhat, yes and not because the game failed, but because they didnt have the balls to face us and tell us what was going on!
Best of luck to anyone sticking around holding on to hope.... I hope it doesnt cost you as much as it did some of us!

Hi guys!
First I want to say sorry for our silence and our lack of interaction with the community. I will clarify our current and past situation.
As you might guess, the launch of Pantropy was not optimal of us financially. Initially it was planned to release Pantropy earlier. The delay allowed us to fix more issues of course but each month also cost us money. That resulted in draining our reserves and brought the company pretty much to a point which you could call bankrupt. We didn´t run away with any money. All the money we´ve earned went straight to our investors. So far we haven´t earned a single cent but still have to keep up the infrastructure that comes with running the game and the company.
I´ll try to be as transparent as possible as far as our NDAs allow me to be. I have personally invested more than 300k Eur into the game and both Julian and me aswell as other team members have worked 80-100 hours per week during the months before and after the release. I haven’t earned anything back and even if the company breaks even I would rather invest it back into the game than cashing out.
After running out of money we had to do some side projects in order to avoid bankruptcy of the company and the total loss/failure of the game.
We now do have the time and I´ve put some additional money into the company that allows us to continue to work on the game. I´ll not make any promises and everything will take time. But there´s progress after all.
This may not be the wisest decision from a business owner´s perspective but we really want to try to save the game and deliver the vision that we had in mind for Pantropy.
It´s really hard to read the Discord chat, get personal threats and still keep our sanity. This is why we´ll try to focus on the game and update you whenever we have something to show.
I hope you will understand our situation.
Best,
Sebastian
