Also, I'm really not here to change your (OP's) mind, I'm mainly replying for the benefit of anyone that comes to these forums, reads this post and think this game has real 'issues'.
Autobuy:
Autobuy is very helpful. I can't imagine having to had to manually level up each and every time I've warped in this game. Fine, there might be some (minor) bugs/quirks at certain levelling points, but certainly not useless.
AI:
For walls, there are even specific Perks that give you options to shoot THROUGH walls, so they are targeting enemies as needed. Also, enemies might get caught on occasion, but I've never had it happen very often. Once you play enough, you'll see that it's really not that much of an issue.
Rockets:
Yes, they are probably too sluggish to hit some targets, but with splash damage, etc., they can make a big impact. Also, they might also just be in for show, for 'something different' for those that want to use them, even if they aren't as effective in some situations. But then again, there are three weapons and you can set at least one of those to a different damage option...so...
Presets:
Yes, there are some bugs with presets being auto-changed to a setting, rather than the once I've set, but that's only been for the weapons, and not the cube selections. I have no idea how/why your's somehow keeps being set to three, but if that is the case, maybe make "3" have the options you want to use? Or are you too stubborn that you want (need? insist?) that your MAIN set is in slot number "1"?
EDIT: It's the mouse wheel. It's set to change weapon presets, as I found out after investigating it when it happened to me. I just removed both of the bindings for up/down movement of the mousewheel for those presets and...presto!...it's sorted now. Yes, I'm just updating this detail for the 1-2 other people that might notice this. ;-)
Rainbow butterflies:
Maybe you don't get that perhaps this has been done on purpose? Notice there is no "Rainbow magnet", so you can't auto-collect them during your run. Also, for the most part, when you see them during a long bike run, it would make no difference to your gold total if you picked the majority up in the early, middle (or even later) part of your run, as the what you require to level up your weapons is probably a whole magnitude higher than what they'd give you.
Essentially, you can get them if you want to stop and target them, or are not using the bike and may need/want to get them. Also, if you want them so badly, and you're THERE at your machine WATCHING the bike...then press 7, target them, and then press 7 and continue.
Autofarm mods:
I don't know why you are even trying to do this, if the mods don't drop. If you are insisting on doing this, then why not set your research levels to reset to just before the boss and keep warping afterwards to farm it, if you think it's that essential. From what I can tell, the process is that you just play the game and let them acquire over time. You wanting/needing to farm them is your problem, not the game.
Cube research:
The behaviour can seem a bit odd at first, but it actually makes sense. If you decide to sell something, the page changes to "Sell" mode (and Buy and Sell modes are options in the upper-left of the page), and you can see the prices for anything else you want to sell. Yes, if you want to "buy" at that point, after selling one item, it doesn't look right...but if you're done selling, just click the "Buy" button and that change the values to show the cost to purchase the items.
OP - I really just think it's you, not the game (or developers).
Presets: This is on your end, doesn't happen to me and i've never heard anyone talk about it
Rockets are widely used, you can make the splash massive, it is the strongest weapon and with crit and crit damage it can carry you a lot farther.
"Autofarm with a full overpowered meter is useless because mods don't drop." Really not sure what you're talking about here, it's only worth farming "mods" (?) at the end of a run.
"The time cube research menu is useless because whenever you subtract a perk the entire chart becomes wrong." The chart is logarithmic, and it is not wrong . And aside from that, you need time cube research to progress in the game, so the menu is decidedly not useless.
Most of your complaints are fundamental misunderstandings.
I think this could be alluding to the fact that, when you sell an item of research, the information for the next upgrade doesn't always update correctly. It's a minor display bug, easily worked around, and barely worth mentioning (which is probably why it hasn't been fixed).
I am one of the two people who actually noticed and THANK YOU! For some reason I completely missed that option in the keybindings. I use two screens and for some reason the game would sometimes recognize my scrolling through webpages on the second screen as scrolling in the game, and therefore changing my presets. This finally fixed it! Thank you very much
I am the other person (:
WHAT FRICKING IDIOT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO USE ROCKETS!!!
Rockets are the first and foremost dps saturation weapon and is important if you want to go remotely fast on your autorun. As for the ufo complaint, well use tracking bullets with punchthrough on plasma rife to OBLITERATE them.
