Can't start game

When I open the game, it goes to what I assume is the login screen, but there is no option to log in or type a password or anything. All I can do is exit the game or go into the options. An error box says that there was an error attempting to get available servers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times, I've updated Steam, I've even completely disabled my firewall. Any other ideas?

Are you able to access http://banghowdy.com as I believe your network administrator might have blocked it or it's just inaccessible by your computer, which would cause this error to occur.

I have exactly the same problem. The game opens but there is no login or 'create account' options, only 'options' and 'exit', and a pop-up saying there is an error attempting to get servers. How would one go about unblocking it or making it accessible by the computer?

My support team has figured out the issue.. We believe this issue occurs when people have outdated Java versions that don't match our requirements... Please install from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html
