Report a translation problem
there is a town with 9 skulls around a chest. Pressing against the walls on the right in a set pattern teleports you inside. This got rid of my ghost.
push the other walls in sequence, until you just hear success noises, and you'll get pushed into the chest room like it was a hidden passage.

And good call. I answered the last question off of memory. Definitely less skulls there.
Directly below the pot by the bed, and to the right of the bottom right skull.
Pretty cruddy hint, I know. The real hint I think is that the ghost takes you to Farqad. I mean, the first death's door portal you see after getting death's pact without the explorer takes you to Farqad (the hidden one by the lake). Its honestly not that hard to brute force the method to open, so its weird that this doesn't require you to find the missive given that alot of other quests are scripted to require a chain of events to complete.
