Roadcraft?
What do you think?
Are we getting some meat on this release or is another Snowrunner 1.3?
Latest reel looks intriguing.

There is no way I'm trusting Saber after the releases of Expeditions and Dakar.
This game looks like another attempt at Snowrunner But Different, with still the same engine unfit for the physics it requires. And now we have realtime road building, and self-driving AI convoys on the roads ? Right. Saber has always been very very good at advertising so I'm waiting to see the reality of it before considering that the game might actually deliver.
roadcraft would be no snowrunner 2 or mudrunner 2, it more about planning and less about riding. You dont even need to think about fuel so you can focus on construction
Snowrunner and Expeditions both sucked so I don't have high expectations on Roadcraft or better yet Construction Simulator 2.0 by the looks of it , I wish they would just take it back to the basics and focus on bringing us Spintires 2 or Mudrunner 2 you know a real actual off road simulator with good physics instead of that arcade crap with the other two games. Saber calling Expeditions 'A Mudrunner Game' was an insult.

Honestly yeah, even if Roadcraft actually delivers on all its promises (which remains to be seen), it's not Mudrunner anymore, which is the game I wanted to play.

I thought this looked fun at first announcement. But as I understand now, there's not much "driving & logistics" in it? Taking fuel out of the equation does not sound good. I was hoping for adding parameters to the equation. Well, we'll see where it lands.
Heads up, it looks like a bunch of content creators were given the green light to post videos on a prerelease version of the Next Fest demo today. They've committed to a new formula with RoadCraft for sure, and it's certainly interesting, though I rather doubt that most of the die-hard MudRunner-exclusive players will see much appeal.

According to those review, we can have out hands on the same demo they played on 2/24, so let's see how the physics and drive feels

Thanks for the heads up, great to see what's the gameplay is going to be.

The Roadcraft demo is out !
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3456580/RoadCraft_Demo/

Featuring highly requested features in the Mudrunner franchise like :
- No more damage
- No more fuel management
- No gearbox

I had no expectations but it's still a joke...

...Good thing it's not titled, advertised, or sold as a Mudrunner game?

Like, I get it's the same engine and whatnot, but it's not intended to be a sequel or successor at least as far as I can tell. It's a different game.

As hard as it might be for some people to acknowledge, hardcore MudRunner players aren't their target audience anymore and haven't been for quite some time now.

It's a game that is the next iteration in the series, instead of developing in line with the original game, they decided to take the console arcade route with some gimmicks about the simulation aspect.
It's clearly meant as a continuation of Snowrunner, it uses the same engine and all of the same trucks.
Exactly like for Expeditions they're trying to make another quick buck from the playerbase they already have.
at least they've a demo out so people can give it a 'road test' and make an informed decision to their like.
I saw some tubedefluencer videos but the demo is the best way to sale the game.

I still prefer Spintires-Mudrunner so to me this is going to be a pass like for expedition and snowrunner.
As for my itchy driving fun i'm going to get Wreckfest one of these days with Wreckfest 2 on the horizon.
