I usually have a "roamer" lightweight C-class equipped with a fuel tank that makes the trip between the fuel station and my log truck.
If possible also dedicate a truck to crane duty, the crane adon is extremely heavy and adds unneeded weight onto your truck, so if you can spare a truck solely for loading, that'll make your logger truck slightly more useable.
I've done medium logs deliveries with the B131, it's doable but you'd better not be in a hurry.
You can also restart the map over and over to get the truck you want. C-4320 is my favourite because it seems that just like in Snowrunner, thinner tires are better.
But really the only "requirement" is being able to haul 4 points worth of logs. Self-loading crane is not worth it IMO.
You realise you can actually choose what vehicles you want before starting a map? You can select 2 or 3 to be available at the starting location.
A self loading crane is essential for hardcore setting as no log stations are available- all loading is done by the player manually at the kiosk. From my own experience, on hardcore, i've had far more success transporting short logs than medium or long.
Yeah i like this strategy. Even though the fuel consumption of c255 is not too extreme, it probably consumes enough to warrant a dedicated resupply truck. The significant cost/time to organise fuel imo is worth it, as the advantages of extra reliability/stability on hardcore is extremely beneficial imo. I think maybes dedicating c375 for this role could be an option because it is lightweight.
Do keep in mind that the trucks that spawn on the map are part of a list, you may not always get the same trucks at the same location everytime you play the map.
That being said if you keep flipping your trucks it may be due to your driving.
This truck feels like a more balanced version of the c255. It has slightly less stability, however has better performance in terms of fuel usage, and can transport medium logs with a crane. C432010 is possibly the best in the game imo.
What is the point of playing Hardcore if you're not going to 1-star it?
You need a fuel tank at the log station anyway and the truck that hauls it there may as well do the loading.
