The available DLCs are fun, and yes, you are probably right that most of us have seemingly "completed" the vanilla content by now. However, the amount of high quality vehicles and maps available in the workshop is massive. It's like endless DLCs for free (thanks all modders!).
It would be interesting to see a MR 2 with extended/improved game mechanics, perhaps more varying weather effects?, freeze/thaw cycles? and/or dynamic water levels? etc.
I don't believe on it's improvement not being possible. Thinking he kept improving his physics system since 2008!

I also really like to see a Mudrunner 2, if he is not with Saber anymore, maybe a different game under his name?
Maybe Pavel might go only by himself and create some stuff on his own, that would be SO cool but i don't think he will do that. We don't even know if he is making games anymore (well, atleast i don't know it, inform me if somebody knows).
It returned few times till now. Maybe lawsuits can result in Spintires returning (or not) but who knows?
Sucks that an important lawsuit like this took almost a decade.
Just needs committed people with an honest vision true to the Spintires soul to make it happen.
The parties did settle though. But no much of public info is available on what settlement was reached.
a Sequel for Mudrunner/Spintires gotta have more realistic physics engine, more extreme offroad conditions, more Siberian trucks (or remastered models of original models) and new maps (Which Mudrunner kinda failed because vanilla maps shares the same terrain and Trucks were pretty much the same, even with First Person mode you can see the lack of detail on the interior (thinking Spintires didn't had a First Person camera)).
* = Here's a video of Pavel showing old Spintires with Mudrunner's unloading music!
