can someone explain to me why the game ran for hours, and then all of a sudden it crashed, and now nothing goes?I had these problems in the 90s, not in 2020

Don't know if you already have it but update could have given the problem

Latest update causing the problem for sure since that the game wasn't crashing before but only since today. I had a few crashes on multiplayer as well as on singleplayer and the last time the game crashed it was a total since I couldn't even get to main menu. I verified the game files but that didn't help, then I reinstalled the game and it was all good again all thou I didn't try to play multiplayer after that, something tells me that the cross play with "epic games" users causing the problem.

Hopefully they will fix it, but till then just reinstall the game and avoid multiplayer, at least that worked for me.

happens as soon as I start up The game, can even skip the intro and almost get to the game b4 it crashes

the thing that worries me is that I've never played multiplayer. I have these crashes all the time by simply playing the single player mode

Yeah same, updated the game last night and today it's started crashing every time I try to launch it. It says on the update news post that if you have problems then you can roll back to the previous version by selecting the Beta, just about to try that myself...

Rollback to the previous beta version and the game will load again

Same issue, was finally looking forward to getting back into this game with some friends that just got it now and bam cant even play it

I found a fix just don't link the epic games account for cross play and to unlink I installed one of the beta through steam then I went back to the up to date version.
