If you use win7 you can use scarlettCrush to emulate a xbox controller ~on win10 it dose not work~.
pavig are you just stupid? let me guess 12y old.
EDIT: Works on Win10
Do you use any emulator tools and what windows, via cable ore bluetooth?
BTW a Ps3 is not a Ps4 other drivers are needed.
it could still work - i use a xbox 360 controller and it detects it perfectly fine - if it didn't detect it it would still work using xpadder or something - OP should easily be able to use the ps3 controller without much if any hassle
to OP - if it's a matter of whether you buy the game or not, stand by and i will confirm it for you but gonna take a couple days to get a chance to play and dig out the ps3 controller...
A xBox Controller is normal on Windows. Reason: Microsoft dude and not Sony ^^
PS4 controller plugged in via USB2 and no drivers or emulators. Steam sees it and allows it to be used by games. I've used emulator for it in the past, but recent Steam updates to controller support cause it to fight with the emulator for control, so I stopped using the emulator.
I solved it now with Scarlet.Crush so my Ps3 is reg as xBox.

You can find it in big pictrure controller settings as "generic controller support". It works for some people and some controllers but not others, and seems to get confused by some virtual xinput drivers like xpadder, so you might have to disable them and only launch via big picture to get it to work. It can actually cause problems if you have games that recognize controllers at a hardware level and mess up your bindings if you launch from big picture mode instead of your steam library. I stopped bothering with it because mixing real xbox controllers with virtual controllers, big picture mode emulation and some games with direct hardware addressing "special needs" meant I had to keep switching drivers on and off and switching in and out of big picture between games. Sticking to generic xbox and ps4 controllers or clones was just less hastle.
But like I said, if the OP can play games on steam with their controller already then it's probably fine.
Thanks to SCP my Controller is now a xBox and I can use it for ever thing microsoft related.
I tried my ds4 for mudrunner but it didnt work, with other games the ds4 works
