These topics only prevent other players from finding the information they need. Nobody forbids you to express your point of view about SnowRunner. On the contrary, it is most welcome. But you need to do this on the appropriate resources. You can freely post your comment on the Official forum or the Discord. All links in a pinned post.
I will not move this topic yet (but this is an exception). If you have any questions, ask.
So with that said, I hope we can keep a discussion about SR vs MR in the spirit of elevating SR into something that satisfies even the most devoted/steadfast Spintires/MR fan.
I, for one, was looking forward to SR but has backed down due to the lack of/unfinished sim elements. But hey, I can go on with MR for a long time (partly, thanks to the modders). I'll just give SR some time and I'm sure I'll jump in.
Thank you Allozorro for giving this topic a chance on Steam!
[edit] Just saw that youtube video above, it was really off... could not even see it through. Many of the points made did not apply to me as a Mudrunner at all.
The persistent mud/terrain/downed vegetation was a great feature of MR. Sad to hear it's gone (can someoe confirm this?). Hopefully, it will be back. In spintires it was even persistent between saves at some point. Details like this is super-important in order to keep mudrunners interested in SR.
The key-mapping issue I did not know of. The wheel issue I knew. I can see a list emerging of things that we want to keep/re-implemented in SR. Not sure it will ever serve as constructive feedback, but we can at least try.
I can confirm it, I own all three games. Spintires still has mud memory even between saves. Mudrunner resets on save load. Snowrunner resets after you leave the immediate area.
MR itself is only money. Before anyone goes against it, there are no new options in MR, only 4 dlc, and you have to buy one of them. undervalued trucks and maps. And all the old stuf was already create with ST.
SR is also a directX game. same as MR and ST. There is no new engine.
SR is a very bad game! only money money money
I feel the same mate. I guess i'll keep watching the game on Twitch and wait for a bunch of people reviews and hopefully it'll come to Steam :D
1. I really love these Nonsens posts.
I have some serious news for you. Each an every game you ever bought and will ever buy in your life is about generating money. Just that simple. These guys make games too earn money for a living. Yes it might be a whole new aspect of life for you since it seams you do not have to work for your money.
2. I love SR. The grafics are way better than MR and the new cargo types and missions are great. I also love the aspect to build up my service, having to buy trucks and equipment.
3. I can confirm that mud resets on load /save.which I'm not sure of I like our hate it. It's annoying not to see my old wheel tracks. It adds to realism if a mud road gets worse the more you use it. BUT with the new mission and game play design other than in MR you stay longer on each map. You have to use roads many times. Not like in MR where you do the one mission and leave the map.
I would love mud memory but if so we would need also street works to repair/prepare roads.
