Campaign mode for MudRunner 2
This is just a suggestion to developers for Campaign mode I'd like to see in MudRunner 2.

In Campaign mode you'd have to earn money from completing jobs and buy trucks, add-ons, fuel and repair toolkit with that money.

You start with some money to buy Class A car. You can buy bad car and have more spare money for some add-ons and fuel. Or buy better car and have less spare money.

Before starting job, you'll see how much you'll earn upon delivering all materials (you won't deliver only logs. There would be bricks, steel beams, sand, gravel, concrete slabs, etc.)

First jobs would be simple and because you don't have your own trucks, you can use trucks found on the map.
As you slowly earn money, you'll be able to buy better trucks and add-ons.

-You have to pay when refueling trucks and pay for repair points.

-All trucks you found on map and used, must be returned there in same or better condition. Otherwise you pay half of the truck's price (or full price if truck is destroyed/engine stalled)

-You earn bonus money when repairing/refueling/rescuing vehicles that you found on the map.

-With money you don't unlock vehicles and add-ons. You buy them. Which means when you buy one truck, you have that one truck. If you destroy it or fail to retrieve it to garage, it'll be lost and you'll have to buy another one.
Same with add-ons. If you buy log trailer, you have just one. If you need more, you have to buy more of them.

-Any vehicle/add-on you own can be spawned in front of garage (or parked back in) at any time

-Vehicle damage/fuel is carried over to next maps

-Garage won't automatically repair/refuel vehicles for free

-You can get out of the truck and walk (this one is important)

-Instead of magically spawning in another truck you have to walk there.
If you want to winch, repair, refuel..., get out and do it manually.

-You can hire multiple people.
Instead of changing control between trucks, you change people.
Each person you hire takes some percentage of job payment.

-Seasons (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring)
Each job takes one season. So you'll be cycling through years.
Summer is the easiest. Most of the roads are dry and it's easy to drive.
Spring is like current MudRunner
Autumn is harder because it rains a lot. There's a lot of mud an when it rains water level rises so it's harder to cross some paths and some areas can be flooded.
Winter is the hardest because of heavy snow and frozen roads. When snow start falling hard, some paths might get blocked and you'll need some heavy machinery to clean those paths.

-Some survival elements (hunger)
You can buy rifle and hunt yourself a rabbit, bird or deer. Light up a fire and cook it. But beware of bears and wolves.
Wild animals can attack you anytime you're outside the truck, especially at night. So if you get stuck somewhere in the forest in middle of night, you better have that rifle nearby.

Campaign is completed when you finish every map on every season.

What do you (both devs and players) think about this suggestion?
Is it good or bad, and what would you add/remove from it?

Also a campain can be better on a single huge map instead of a dosen of small ones.

+1, perhaps though like 3 large maps instead though — standard northern Russia like map, muddy; winter style map?; and one presuming they carry it over, for North America.

But yeah, I would take a 30km by 30km map over 30 1km by 1km maps anyday. It would be nice to get the “open world” tag applied to it.

For me personally, this campaign idea sounds nice, but I am not buying Mudrunner 2 unless I see 1 of 2 things: big maps, or better driver’s view (realistic dash, better detail, working mirrors especially). Frankly otherwise, I don’t see why I would take it when I already have mudrunner 1.

Me too I won't buy mudrunner 2 unless it has tons of changes, not like how spintires evolved into mudrunner with "0" change.
I only bought mudrunner because I don't own the original spintires.

Same, I am actually very new to this game. But from my personal perspective so far:

1 complaint is the driver’s view, I don’t like the digital much and doesn’t have working mirrors (which would be useful). This was actually the #1 reason I almost didn’t buy the game.

1 thing I would like to see is bigger maps, they really are not all that big.

The 3rd thing is a minor thing I doubt they would do, but I always am the type of person that likes to see realistic stuff. Imagine how cool a more detailed damage system would be, instead of just hit points? Highly doubt, but a hypethetical.

But really from what I played so far, 1 of these 3 would be enough for me to get Mudrunner 2 (on sale of course), mainly the first one. First two would be amazing — instead of new map after new map, just drive region to region, progressively unlocking new vehicles. That and of course, improved driver’s view — mirrors, more authentic looking dials (prefer the real ones, but even if they can’t get them for some reason — fake it at least?), better cabin would be nice, and perhaps even head tracking?

Also another one I would like to add to this list btw:

Drivers have to sleep. Also deferring between different vehicles, the amount they sleep depend on vehicles and stuff:
- At garage or some place with bed or something, perhaps 6/7 hours of the day? Also perhaps some bonus to sleeping in a building, idk what though.
- Vehicles with campers, a place to sleep, ~8-9 hours.
- Vehicles without campers and such: uncomfortable cab has ~10 hours for a full rest, perhaps some sort of debuff for an uncomfortable night’s sleep? (Idk what).

Realistic, also would enforce needing employees: day crew and night crew?

MUDRUNNER: THE LONG DARK HAUL

(Also if survival elements, considering most of this is in Russia presumably, along with the suggested seasons — it would make sense to add the ability to freeze, and appropriate counters (clothes, cabin heaters, etc.))

Another possibility could be for support vehicles to earn money by scouting locations, repairing and refueling, or even smaller deliveries, like food.
...I do have the dread feeling of a player having to start with the A-968M...
