Maybe a stupid question about loading in the Wild Lands DLC

So on the first map, every vehicle I have that can have a medium log trailer attaches it after the truck body as a separate with closed ends, and with a loader attached on the main truck it can't reach over far enough to load itself?

Am I missing something or is it forcing a different loadeing mechanic compared to the main game where I can load medium logs onto the main vehicle with it's own loader?

freightliner and westernstar have a crane on the rear end, along a 3-log-point carriage. with that you can load a medium log trailer

You have to place the trailer next to the loading point and detach the trailer. Move the truck in a better position, load the trailer and attach it back to the truck.

Ah thanks Angus, will give that a try, not seen in in the options at the garage.

Yeah DerEggen, that's what I'm hoping to avoid if possible.

Yap, it's the "feature" of new DLC. The issue is that "new" US trucks have extremely long base in comparison with "old" soviet trucks. As a result of that the trailer is way further behind the truck. Plus the cart has way higher boards. I also wasted around half an hour fighting the cart and now clearly see that the best way is to detach it before loading.

So if you use the log carriage WITH loader, it puts the loader at the back of the truck which puts it in the right spot to load the medium log trailer being towed behind.

The Skidder in real life and in game the crane is only used for pulling logs out of the swap to a place that a crane can load them. It can't load a trailer by itself.

Thx loganjamesalex. But its ok, i hope we will see more maps/vehicles focused on logging. Its a new kind of Gameplay and i like it.
