Spintires: MudRunner - American Wilds Patch Log
Hello!

We’re very happy to have released Spintires: MudRunner - American Wilds yesterday! In American Wilds, we introduced two new maps and nine new vehicles, as well as two new challenges.

Discover the vehicles added to Spintires: MudRunner - American Wilds in the vehicle presentations below.

The DLC also introduces two new maps, which can be seen in the featurettes below:

Change Log:

Multiplayer
  • When selecting map mods in multiplayer, both host and client will now have slots of selecting trucks
  • The controller is no longer blocked in the multiplayer chat lobby
  • Messages in the chat will no longer overlay each other when the chatbox is open

Mods & Proving Grounds
  • Fixed an issue where the game wouldn’t launch with 100+ mods installed
  • Every truck is now available in Proving Ground, even if it's locked in another game mode.

UI
  • Settings - In-game text has a normal size when playing in a 4k
  • Minor UI Fixes

Control
  • Truck selection menu scrolling has been improved when using a Xbox controller's joystick

Audio
  • The game recognizes switching of audio device while playing
  • Hot plugged microphones will now be detected by the game
  • Sound will no longer play in the background when alt-tabbed.
  • Minor Audio Fixes

Links to YT seem to be broken. They lead to some YouTube Studio which results in errors.

I've fixed this now!

I'm not certain about changes to older maps/vehicles, but I'll ask and see if I can find out for you.

I noticed while driving in cockpit view that the guy's arms look like noodles when turning the wheel. Not a big deal but gets distracting when I notice it lol.

New DLC (cars/attachments) has hundreds of issues with textures overlay, also sometimes object size is bigger than its texture (see medium log trailer in particular), road signs tend to stuck inside the trucks (as well as grass/small trees), crane attachments are higher then bridges' top girder but trucks still can go literally through it.
Apart from the above I see no any major issues with the update. But gosh! They are soooo annoying! The more I play the more texture flaws pop up here and there destroying the initial positive feeling. The whole DLC feels so amateurish because of that.

Some devs never learn! The dlc would have been much better if the dev had put some love into it. Instead they throw it together for that fast cash xmas bonus. Instead we all bent over so they could bone-us!

Erh? I don't get it. What's with the 1GB+ download? ..didn't buy 'murica DLC.

Where's is 'the what' about it? Or am i just slow n' muddy:steamfacepalm:

First post in this topic, after words "Change Log" all this refers to the 1Gb+ patch you downloaded.

just bought the expansion and nowhere to be found. says its installed, but open game and no new trucks or maps? am i forgetting something? any help greatly appreciated

Just in case do a file check through steam and launch your game go in proving ground and try to spawn the western star for example if you can then it should be good otherwise you might have a slight problem with the dlc like other people had but nothing who can't be fixed.

Warum funktioniert Spintires Mod exe nicht mehr, seit American Wilde? Ich kann keine Kettenfahrzeuge mehr fahren. Die Ketten sind nicht mehr vorhanden. Warum wird nicht grundsetzlich das System so gestaltet das Kettenfahrzeuge funtionieren. Das wäre mal eine sehr, sehr GUTE Änderung. Die viele Spieler, wie Ich sehr begrüßen würden.

Will be not bad if you share in the garage the trailes how it was in previous version of the game I mean American Wilds the attachments like fuel /utitly trailer to to be available for the russian trucks and also the trailers of the russian truck available for the us trucks in the garage menu More toys=more fun
