I don't understand what to do...

The objective in every single game is to deliver logs to the lumber mill. Well.....either there are no trucks att all, or there are only trucks with no cranes on them.....and there is no way to attach a crane to any truck. At some point there was a hint about going to the scavenge and use the "forest crane" but there is crane there.....so all I can do is drive around in the mud...

All of them. There are no cranes anywhere, and I can't find a way to attach a crane to any of the trucks. And the vehicles like the K-700 can't load anything on the trucks.....so I have no idea what to do...

If you are playing single player only some of them have crane. Like all the attachment you have to go back to garage to be able to install the crane.

did you find the garage? with an off-road vehicle explore the trucks by map and garage .... you bring the trucks to the garage and change there what you want: tanker trailer, crane, trailers .... etc

You'll start most of the maps at garage.
Just stop with a truck near the garage and menu will open.
You can add/remove any add-ons you want there.

K-700 works fine here...you have to put the correct amount of logs on first (4 for short, 3 for medium, 2 for long) then jump into the truck and look at your load...if the red circles on them are now green, click a circle and the game will pack them for you...if the circles are red it should tell you what still needs to be done to be able to pack the load.
I hope this helps...it took me a fair bit of practice to learn loading with the K 700 and the crane.

Sounds like you're playing hardcore and not quite ready for it yet. I'd recommend casual mode to start, just drive into log yard, boom, loaded.

Most maps have at least one crane/loader on the map somewhere. Half of the default trucks can have a crane added at an unlocked garage. I recommend the rear-crane models like on the C-256 not the ones that hang over the cab as they can be prone to rollover.

There are also bunch of modded trucks that can load, my personal favourite is the K701M (shoutout to Darius for making this great mod).

You must have the right number of logs loaded for the carriage, in the right place and your trailer straight and level.

4 short logs for carriage or short trailer
3 medium logs for large carriage or medium trailer
2 long logs for long trailer

what about this forest crane that's mentioned in the hints? what or where is that?

When the game is mentioning 'Drive to the Log Kiosk and use the forest crane to pack the logs' it means the crane installed on your vehicle. Also during the challenge 'Crane Operator' the forest crane is mentioned.
