Map advice

It is a really stupid question, but, which is the map with the lower mud quantity? Don’t get me wrong, I know the essence of the game is mud, but, sometimes I just want to enjoy an “easy” ride, trough asphalt or dirt road, and don’t want to lose time on high levels of mud. I said SOMETIMES, because I love the mud physics and I enjoy the game as it is, I’m just asking which is the map with less mud, till now I only played 10 hours on the first map, and especially the center part of the map is pretty full of high mud, and sometimes I just avoid it.

In arcade mode you'll find much less mud on all paths. Try Island map as the easiest and the smallest one. While in hardcore I rarely go to the 2nd gear, in arcade I mostly jump around 2-4 gears going back to 1st only when stuck.

I haven't played it yet, but if the maps are largely based on the original ST maps, SEASHORE should be very close to Coast from ST. That map had a actual paved road that circled through it - probably your best bet. The Hill (Downhill in MR?) had a lot of hard-packed roads and some absolutely treacherous wallows but plenty of hardish surfaces - again I haven't played Downhill yet so not sure how close to the original it is.

If you're up for it you could make your own map with no, or very little mud :)

You probably started with The Bog which is a bog just like title says. It is probably the muddiest map in the game. Don't even try to go into central plain, it is a bog. Drive on roads around it. Other maps also have similar muddy areas, but not as huge and you probably won't even find them unless you look for shortcuts.

Aww cmon what's with everyone suggesting not to go into the bog? It's the most fun place! Even the K-700 can get stuck there haha... last night I had 3 vehicles stuck there all trying to dislodge a lumber truck from a particularly bad route through :P Then I worked out that pumping the clutch on my G29 setup somehow mimics the "slow drive" mode you can use on controllers, and I was able to get myself free because it allowed the tyres to get some traction.

That sort of thing is what this game is all about, trying to cut across a dangerous route and sometimes it goes wrong and you have to think outside the box to use all the tools in the map to your advantage and escape :D Fun times!

I'm not saying the first map is not funny, I like it, infact i played only this one for now, but, sometimes you want to change you know. also, I only play hardcore mode. will try others map soon. thanks for the advices

Well, Wolfixi asked for less muddy place, why would we suggest him to go into a bog instead?
