Lets just completely gloss over the fact BI debut, with Op Flash that the software was contracted for the military BEFORE it was made a game and that it was a TEAM and STUDIO rather than 1 single individual.
With respect my knowledge comes from experience in the big world doing all these things for real and knowing just how huge the responsability, pressure and dependence is on all the fragile systems I have previously spoke of.
Comparing Op Flash to this is REALLY clutching at straws and ultimately everyone posting either has nothing more to say than "you don't own the game" OR "I am not willing to entertain people far more informed than I am".
Yet not one single person here can claim any PRACTICAL knowledge of anything close to this scenario.
SI were not involved with old tyres is really about the only comment you need read to sum up the levels of ignorance on this entire ordeal and low and behold makes the title of my post even more relevant.
I am not a chef so I don't question the cooking ... why is it you all are suddenly armchair devs with nothing but wiki's and articles made by online magazines to go by ... it baffles me.

So, according to Oovee, Pavel owns game engine code, while Oovee owns Spintires code and trademarks. Slightly confusing, but there it is.
That actually makes a whole lot of sense - Pavel has the GAME ENGINE but not the original ST code so we get a new game made with that engine. Explains the time involved to get MudRunner out, explains why the maps and trucks are slightly but not really different... etc.
People have too damn much time on their hands to blow crap up into some massive world-changing plot. IT's. a. GAME. fer cryin' out loud.
Again let us just gloss over the 2014 and pretend like Pavel managed to convince SI to take him on then pitch his game via their own execs and then somehow get FI onboard all by himself.
I am done listening to this utter drivel. The blind leading the blind as my old nan used to say.
