So all depends of the current map, routes and your plans about the job.
I only find B130 useless, since it doesn't have the chained wheels from the previous game.
Edit: in hardcore mode it's also important which vehicle has a crane to load itself, and which has not, the second needs another truck to load the logs.
medium fuel consumption & goes everywhere
In order of preference:
C432010
C375
C4310
try not to put any trailers on it.its not good in carrying trailers,so if you do,good luck,as it will become garbage
after figuring it out it became kinda my fav truck againe
Little uaz 469 is the monster as it eats so small amounts of fuel and can travel for many spintires-days and can explore pretty much like a backup
the zil 131,ural 4320,255,and kamaz (C flatnosed type) are basically the carriers for games as theyre like the ones who usually do the job
the big ass ones like the E type or the D-537 (or 535,wuteva.) are more for doing heavy hauling, for example logging and pulling a vehicle behind it when its dead
so,TL;DR (what does it mean? i dont know :/) The zil 130 is only useful for normal roads/roads with small-uncommon occurances of mud,and is useful when somethings loaded onto it that is not a trailer.(except for the small garage tools cart)
the UAZ 469 is the monster and is pretty good for getting cloakings (as we called it back then)aka watchpoints, its good in rescues for small vehicles too,and can be used as a always-here-to-help jeep.
the normal ones (Zil 131 to whatever till the flatnosed C type and the kirovets (K type) are for mainly hauling logs/garage points etc
the bigass ones (D and E type and sometimes kirovets)are for usually extreme rescuing when it comes to times that you cant get out alone/with more trucks, and is good for hauling logs with the extreme downside that fuel consumption is a lot.
This is my preference as well in terms of hauling power and ability, and they can self load which is essential for hardcore (unless you drive the K700 all the way to the camp). The one exception is, the C-255 is lower with what feels like less springy suspension and therefore much less prone to tipping than the 43xx series, especially with the crane installed. You can basically hold W without looking over your shoulder at what's happening behind you.
And yes, the Ds can only carry short logs, but can easily pull a trailer, that's two loads worth 6 points, which is more than medium. BTW, did that change? I always though it was 2,4,6 for short, medium, long. Never did many short runs before.
If I recall: small is 3 points, medium is 4 and big is 6.
2 Small > 1 Medium
It would be nice if there was a chart for all these types.
Edit: If you had said this in front of my boss, he'd say, what a great idea, go do it :D

My personal favorite truck is the C-256, which can go anywhere any of the A trucks can go and is 100 times less fragile than the A trucks. My personal least favorite is the A-3151, which is quite good looking but absolutely helpless everywhere. I quite like the B-120 as well, the only real weakness it has is that it gets bullied a bit to easily by fast moving water (which is why I always take a C-256 instead). On the other hand I don't really care much for the D or E trucks for anything other than rescues. They have no turning radius and the fuel consumption (even when driving as economically as possible) makes them impractical for delivering logs long distances.
