Like some, I was hoping for a mod to allow more players in Stick Fight... so I made one. It's easier than you might think, but it took a long time. I mostly created it for my nephew and son to play together during the Christmas holidays, but I think many of you could enjoy it too.

Currently in alpha, you can spawn up to 16 players, each with their own score counter and colors.

Of course, there are still issues:

- PC only
- doesn't work with Steam input, so you need controllers that are natively supported by the game
- only 4 spawn points, so some players will share the same starting point, which can cause glitches
- choice of colors: the game uses post-processing that makes it difficult to design color choices for 16 players
- Some score counters appear behind level elements

What's next:

KNOWN BUGS
- some animated elements of certain level won't affect certain players (layer issue)
- when people die by getting outside the screen, the game take sometimes to decide who won
- some levels with physics (chain, bridge, etc...) won't support 16 players
- AI stop to fight, who to search for new target
- If AI get stuck, the level is blocked, you have to leave for Main Menu
- PART SOLVED PLayers who share the same spawnpoint get ejected or killed at the start of the map PART SOLVED

For now, I am in need of testers who would have at least 5 or more controllers to test the mod. I will release the mod on Nexus Mods or ModDB, not quite sure which one is the best.

Some news. I made new screenshots. I will upload some video this week. Almost everything is set up. I think that i could release it next week-end.

I will update my first post but in summary.
- AI work, it only lack a button to control the number of dummy players
- I have the goog UI, but it's still behind the set
- The choice of colors is not finish, the color grading of the game make hard to choose and compare colors outside the game
- Level Editor works well but the level with 4 spawnpoint are still hard to manage in order to avoid physics bug.

If it works fine and get interest, i also have some ideas for alternative gamemode.

I will try to work on the online but the set up for the test is a little bit hard/technical for me.

And by the way the mod is called now B1G for Bang Gang 16!

Sending a friend request in case you need any advice for any potential future developments as I supposedly have a bit of experience with Stick Fight from the player end. I'm considering creating an ultra-comprehensive guide that teaches players most of everything in the game as to improve on my former one, and potentially having mods to refer to that, perhaps, improve *performance* beyond client-side settings adjustments (even if only somewhat), would supposedly help make the game a more enjoyable experience for thousands of players x)

For example, like Monkey's QOL Mod just with additional features taken to potentially inhibit latency, bugs, and desynchronization between players.

Thanks for the info. That could be a great tool for new players. Modding is like a rabbit hole, you touch one things and suddenly you asking yourself, what if...

I'm not good enough at optimizing, but it could be great to revive the game...it's not an hard demanding game... but i understand the developper a lot of people have already the game... but when you see how so many online game are played today, a better online experience could help the game to succeed again.

I go back finish my mod. I have signed a contract with myself to release something this week-end.

A problem about the video, the link in description is cut. The download is requiring an account to be created, off to a great start.

Edit:
Is the account needed to anything else or just to download the mod?

Edit2: I hope this wont discourage people into downloading this mod.

Thanks for the info. I change the description but i can't add link to youtube description.
I use NexusMod because i can more easily follow the version and the number of download, but i have add a direct download link on the first message here, for those who didn't want to create an account on Nexus Mod.

Hope you will enjoy it anyway.

Ive got 6 Xbox wireless Controllers, but I got to work only 4 of them. 5th player didnt appear. Do I have to switch off xinput anywhere? Steam input is off.

If you have the xbox 360 controller there is an issue with a max of 4 of this kind (due to the LED system on it in the center), you need an other type like a Xbox one or a Nintendo switch. Can you send me the name that appear in the Steam/Parameters/Controller to see.
I will see if i can avoid this or get Steam Input to work with the mod.
