What would happen when the set fixed amount of levels were to end? Wouldn't how it is now be better, so if anyone wanted to play a fixed amount of rounds they could just leave after that said amount of levels played was over? Also, could you specify what you mean by minimalistic menu? Isn't the menu as it is minimalistic enough?
To answer you questions: when the amount of levels were to end you as a premade group would return to the original clean screen where you are free to go and not let anyone down that you "quit" mid-game.
The way it's now it's unclear how many games are you supposed to play, I don't even know, even less we know as a group, we never agree on it and leave in turns.Being a fixed amount (shown on the top of the screen) would (in my opinion) hold a little longer in the case you want to quit but are close to the end.
I agree with you, the current menu is the most minimalistic version I have ever encountered in a game. What I meant it's that my feedback doesn't imply building a "standard" menu with lots of options and screens, just something more than currently is.
Anyway, it's just an opinion from a fellow long-time gamer. I see the potential in the game and have had some good laughs with it, and I wish it to succeed and become even more popular than it is now =)
You would start on the now-main-menu to choose, either local or online play. Once the host decides that the current players are ready to play a menu would show up with this 3 options:
- Nr of rounds to play [5] [10] [20] [Endless]
- Maps to play [Theme1] [Theme2] [All-Random] (currently maps come up like a list from the first to the last, in the same order, every time).
- Time per round [1 min] [2 min] [no time]
[START] [CANCEL]
Unfortunately the devs said adding a large addition like friendly fire into the game likely won't happen.
