Plug in a controller and press "A" or "X" to join

but i dont have a controller, and it didnt say you needed one to play.

Keyboard and mouse is available as well :) Press the wasd keys to join. Unfortunately it isn't available for local multiplayer for keyboard only right now but it will be in the future patch.

So right now I can not play without a gamepad with two players locally?

The game uses the mouse to look around, aim, shoot, block etc, since its kind of hard to have to people fight over one mouse that isn't really an option... That said, if you have multiple keyboards, and mice, there is a solution with external programs, like vJoy
