no select monitor option

i updated my computer and now at the startup i only have 1 option for resolution (1366x768) and graphics quality (default), but theres no option for select monitor so when i launch the game the tab is there next to my pined apps and the sound effects play but i cant see the actual game

I am having the same issue. I cannot see the screen, yet I hear all of the sounds.

i dont know how to do that (also i should include i just updated my computer but i was already updated to windows 10 and it was working fine)

Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.

Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.

Enter the launch options you wish to apply in your case -force-d3d9 and click OK.

Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

Not sure why, but more people have this issue after updating to win10.

if you could get back to this, my friends all got this game after mine stopped working and i'd really like to get the problem fixed

Another thing you can try is to change your screen resolution (the computer's not the game's) to a higher or lower one, apply it and Then change it back (try it both with and without the game running). It may be an issue of the game not finding your monitor.
