No multiplayer?

Why? Also why no online coop? I completely lost interest in this game when I checked the Steam store page and noticed there are no tags for multiplayer or coop. I feel like this was a big mistake. Most people like to play games with their friends and not alone.

We’re a small team and multiplayer was out of scope for what we could reasonably accomplish. Also, Bugsnax was always intended to be a single player story driven game. Sorry

The best we could do in the future with this game is possibly add split screen local co-op. But it would have to beat out other priorities.

I haven't heard anything about this game since the first announcement who knows how long ago. Maybe I will check it out on game pass. I should at least give the game a chance.

It's a single player game. Most people tend to enjoy playing single player games by themselves.

Game was meant to be singleplayer but it would look nice if we have letted friends play the game and not somebody random.

I think the game is great! it just seems a lot of people want co-op probably so that some quests are easier, or to mess around with friends
PS. Idc what happens I was just hyped for VR
