Dead game

Here is the quoted announcement from the devs Discord server:

"Dear Community,

Today, we're reaching out to share some vital updates about our airport building game, a project you have so graciously supported.

We want to start by acknowledging your patience and understanding over the past months. Your dedication as a community is something we deeply appreciate, even as we've been quiet on the updates front.

The truth is, that the development process(which never stops) has been more challenging than we initially anticipated. At one point, the project's architecture became such that any minor improvement or addition of new mechanics took a considerable amount of time. Additionally, it introduced a large number of bugs into the game. As a result, the game's development became an insurmountable task for a small team like ours.

Unfortunately, the game did not achieve the level of success on Steam that would have allowed us to stay afloat, cope with all these challenges, and continue moving forward.

Fortunately, we were very lucky to find a publisher who believed in us and our vision. After careful consideration and numerous discussions, we've decided to embark on a new path. We're undertaking the task of rewriting a substantial part of our existing project. This decision wasn't easy, but it's a necessary step to bring our vision to life more effectively.

The big news is that we're not just making improvements to the current game. We're creating a new one. This isn't a decision to start over but an evolution of our initial ideas, shaped by everything we've learned. Our goal is to deliver a game that truly encapsulates the excitement and complexity of airport building, without the limitations we've previously encountered.

We're committed to making this new game a more stable, engaging, scalable, and enjoyable experience for everyone. As we embark on this new phase, your continued support and feedback will be invaluable. We will introduce a new approach to building construction, flight scheduling, and a more transparent and understandable management system. We'll be sharing more updates and sneak peeks in the coming months, and we're excited for you to see what's in store.

This does not mean that we are stopping or abandoning the development of Sky Haven. Firstly, there is still at least one addition of new content ahead - the long-awaited large airplanes. Additionally, we will use our developments to improve performance.

thats a shame. newbies learning the ugly side of game production. its not a easy process i know. but im enjoying the game. i picked it up on sale so ill get my moneys worth out of it

It’s an update with a sneak peek of the early stage development of their next game. I don’t believe they’ll be posting that update here. If you want to see it you’ll need to go onto Discord.
