Farmhands... what will they do?

What can I expect my farmhands to do without experiementing with them?

Will they pick flowers? trees? money trees? animals or just crops?

What I know so far...

They unlock at farm level 20 and work a 13x13 square around their location. (6 squares in each direction)



They will plow a harvested field.

They will water and harvest crops

They will pick trees (tested with apple tree & money tree)

They will water and harvest flowers (tested with poppy)

They will feed and harvest animals (tested with chicken)

They will fish, but still have a chance not to catch anything.




They will not plant a plowed field.

They will not sell to a stalls.

They will not fill an animal feeder.

They will not work while you're offline.

They will not use their time up while you're offline.



They cost 2 tickets per hour (5 tickets is worth 10k) and they can have a maxium of 4 hours.
This timer runs down whether they are working or not. (8 tickets to fill their timer)

After playing around with them a little, I don't feel they are worth the cost.

Farmhands have a working area of 13x13 squares. They do not plow and do not plant. Once you have planted something in their area, they immediately start watering the plants and harvest them when the time comes. The working hours are governed by the amount of the payment.

They also harvest flowers and trees AND water crops and plow used areas

To add what everyone else said, the work time for farmhands only goes down when you're on the game. So if you have paid for 8 hours of work, you'll need to be on the game for 8 hours before having to repay them. They would probably be most useful to harvest trees, espcially ones that are ready to harver 3 or 4 seasons of the year: save you the time of having to go over there every 17 minutes to do it yourself. Also, I think farmhands would be very useful for flowers. I don't have time to water them, but watering flowers would give me more money when it's time to harvest them. So I have a farmhand set-up around my flowers so he can water and harvest them; I know i'll get the max amount of money from them.

I believe there is a limit to farmhands one can have, so the main point is not so you can automate most of your farm. They're to help out on areas that you'd need to visit a lot, so you can free up some time for the rest of your farm.

You don't need to water flowers, it doesn't decrease the time it takes to grow them if you do

I logged off this morning to go to work with about 3 hours left on my farmhand with some apple trees and some animals nearby. I'll grab some food and see what he's got left and report back.

His timer didn't seem to go down while I was offline, but he doesn't seemed to have done any work either.

It may not decrease the flower's time to grow, but it helps towards the maximum profit you can earn from them. Which is displayed as 'harvest each' in the shop. And as far as the farmhands, when they were first introduced their timer counted down even if you logged off. But that was when they costed more medals to purchase and tickets to pay. Not to mention their timer was large. But they managed to make them a tad more reasonable (even refunding the difference with the price & time changes) by making them a tad cheaper in both medals & tickets. Now when you log off, you don't have to worry about wasting your tickets anymore by paying them. Which was a problem for me and a bigger problem for those who may not have gotten a house yet or may not be willing to get one just yet.

They do not do any work while you're offline, which is why their timer doesn't decrease. And like Aktuh said, watering flowers increases their sell value when they're ready to harvest.

Its rather unfortunate that they don't work when you are offline. That would be the most useful function. =T

In my opinion, it would be very hard to program, especially if they were harvesting trees. The game would have to figure out how many times the season had gone by, how many total trees they harvest, xp, coins etc. It would be very hard for the game to decifer what to do.

As long as i don't pay them while I'm offline, I don't mind them not working.

To me i think they're only worth it to cover trees. Trees grow regularly without maintenance and your Farmhand will work every season. This guarantees at least 4 full years of gathering for your trees. Also, trees are the most tedious and time consuming task out of all of them, because of how often they grow.

i don't understand why they put max farmhands to 15 xD i'm alone in my farm and it's too big for me. Please if devs see me, remove the maximum for farmhands or take it to 30 xD that's help me so much

One of the reasons why I stopped playing this game.

There's some really bad decisions been made by the developers. I'll not be buying any more of their games.
