Gold nugget question
I'm sorry if I missed this listed somewhere. I did a search, but didn't see an answer. I'm just wondering if the number of nuggets we have are listed somewhere? I just purchased the Pawn Shop and was surprised to see nuggets as the currency as I was unaware that was even in the game. I spend some for a ribbon, but when I went to purchase another one, it said that I was out of nuggets. I tried to find some place that listed how many we have, but I couldn't find that either. TIA.

Gold nuggets are listed the very last on your list of resources, which shows up on the left if you hit Esc (assuming you play on PC). You can also have your resources always visible through settings, in which case they'll be at the bottom of your screen.

Anticipating your next questions, which is "how do I get more gold nuggets?" They are gained randomly through any kind of harvesting. Additionally, there are a couple of event items that give them not so randomly: the Pot O' Gold (limited to 1) can be harvested for one nugget every 30 minutes, and the Arcane Horses (limited to 18) yield a nugget per horse every 4 hours, provided they're fed the entire time.

Also, if you play on PC, you can bring up the resources at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds while doing things on your farm by pressing Tab. Or if you want it to stay up for a longer temporary time, it will stay up for as long as you hold Tab. If you are coordinated enough, you can continue doing anything else on your farm while holding it open, except it will not show during full screen menus like the farm store or the Pawn Shop.

Thank you, Vexleigh. I had learned through my search how to get the nuggets, but I just didn't see anywhere that stated how to see how many you have. Maybe I overlooked it in my search. Whatever the case, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply with the info on both issues. I will check it out the next time I open the game.

Thank you, too, Darkness Vortex. I know that I'm not coordinated enough (at least, most days! :joyface:) to keep the tab key pressed while doing other things, but that will come in handy when I want a quick check. Thank you for the info!!

Sorry, but one more question......do you get the Pot of Gold & Arcane Horse through a quest? I looked in the store, but didn't see them. Of course, I still have several (many) things to unlock, but nothing looked like the shape of what might be the Pot of Gold. I'm going to guess these are only available through a quest probably around St. Patrick's Day? Thanks again all!

Yes, these are items unlocked during events. The Pot O' Gold is indeed a St. Patrick's Day thing. Arcane Horses first made their appearance around Halloween, but that event was re-scheduled to spring. Someone who has unlocked them (such as yours truly) can place them on your farm, if you want :)

The event has started, and I have a habit of keeping my farm open during events, but I'll make some time during the weekend to visit your farm and give you the things. It's about bed time for me anyway :)

Note that Alchemy Harvest will be here on October 1st. You can get your own gold nugget producing Arcane Horses then!

[Edit: Some other "helpful" person has pointed out that we've just had an Alchemy Harvest in March, so maybe there won't be one on October 1st. We'll see when we get there. It is not my job to know and tell when the events are coming, I'm just trying to help amidst the vacuum of information coming from the devs.]

You're welcome! :D Lol, my coordination lets me do things that only require simple clicking and very little thought. xD Direction changes make me release the wrong button. xD I have gotten better with practice though, or else I wouldn't even be able to do that. xD But yes, definitely very good for a quick glance. :D I found the Tab thing when I was checking if I could rebind controls when my M key stopped working. x) (You can rebind controls except I think mouse camera facing... :D And looking at the controls is a good way to learn possible things that were forgotten from a long ago completed Tutorial or that weren't gone over in the Tutorial. xD )

Good suggestion! I know that I tend to look at controls every now and again just for a refresher especially if I've been away from a game for a bit. But, you're right about sometimes forgetting things, too, that are in there (or weren't covered). I'm always a bit disappointed in games that don't have a brief tutorial or somewhere to figure out what the controls are. I hate to have to go look it up on Google. Thankfully, most have the info there to learn & refresh learning as needed.

Ah, really? I thought the event was moved permanently to spring. That is good to know, though. If I may ask, what is your source for this information?
