Earth Festival Details
New event Earth Festival. It's a mini-event. Easy to do.

Event item is Rainbow Hibiscus, cost 10 diamonds each, limit 100, growth time 4 hours.

Rainbow Hibiscus is a flower. Sprinklers do not speed up flowers. Visitors do not get to plant additional flowers. It's an event flower and not an unlocked item, so they will not show up in the farm's market after the event is over.

Event rewards at 100/200/300. 12 hours of total waiting if Farming Forever Alone.
With three farms you're done within minutes, after harvesting the grown flowers.

First Collection of 100 unlocks an Earth Tree farm deco:

Second collection of 100 unlocks Panda Teddy Bear.

Third collection of 100 unlocks Narwhal fish item:

Note: With No Pond Filter System, level 1 Narwhal pay out 2 diamonds.

Took about 5 minutes to plant the flowers, harvested in about the same time once they were grown.

I'm not sure, if the 3rd reskin of the bear is just another level of laziness or trolling the community.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a green bear with a clover on it for St. Patrick's event. Like Good Luck Bear from Care Bears

The tree is so ugly :steamsad:

It looks like it's dying, maybe it's a hidden message.

I sort of like the concept, but... eh. Maybe if it were a proper harvestable tree and when it was in 'bloom' it had blue flowers to make water or something and the rest of the time it was just fully rounded green.

The tree leaves are a globe of the Earth, just sayin'

Also, I put out some Narwhals and their tiles on the map are glowing green, like an event item. So, did they cut an event in half to get this mini event out the door?

I thought it was weird to get an animal as an unlock and not have it be the next thing to harvest.

Definitely feels like a sloppy/rushed event :(

300 flowers when you can plant 100 of them.... I mean, YAY for the increased amount you can plant, but it's very odd. We've never had such a high limit on flowers before and it means almost everyone can finish the event in a single day - so what's the point of the event really..... hardly a challenge.

The new fish give diamonds so at least it adds something useful to the play of the game rather than just decoration, the next level on my warehouse costs 7.5k in diamonds so I'm happy to get another source because it will only go up from there with the leveling.

Anyone else finds that getting an endangered species for earth day to *harvest* and put in the fish curry sends a strange message? Especially since they go to ridiculous lengths to make this game vegetarian-friendly otherwise. Except, for some unkown reason the fish. And now you even get the resource "fish" from a mammal ...

And yes, I also think it's kind of aborted, what with the whalel showing up in green on the map.

Giving us a sad looking tree in the shape of the globe sends a strange message, don't think I will be putting it on display.

Events are never a "challenge" unless you find overcoming tedium to be an actual challenge, and while it may be a challenge to remain lucid and not want to stop playing the game entirely during an event... there's no actual challenge. You plant crap, then you wait, then you harvest. Repeat. Just like you do every day in the game when events are not done. Which is why the events are so tedious to begin with, they're not special. They're just the same stuff we always do but with arbitrary limitations that make it annoying.

I'm glad it was over quick.

Stand by wishing the tree had more to it though. I don't like how sad it looks, I get that it's supposed to look like Earth, but it doesn't work for me. It just looks like it's dying, as someone else put it.

That dying global tree was meant as an environmental statement but considering that people are dying in a global pandemic it's an inappropriate symbol at this time imo.
