There are people running 1000s of pumpkins over and over for others players to harvest and complete the event.
Now you're talking 1000s of sprinklers, which cost 1000s of medals, 1000s of paths, which costs 1000s of diamonds, petrol stations etc, etc...
Some people work all day/night, they have a real life family, they might get an hour or 2 in front of their fravourite game every other day.
Unfortunately I'm seeing an alarming trend towards the mobile phone type of games coming over to the PC market, those that take days to complete buildings, train soldiers etc, you know the type.
There are seriously flaws with this title, one of those flaws is the artificial time sinks placed into the game. In another thread we worked out that a water melon takes 78 in game years to grow.
Another serious flaw with the game is the inability to remove the rocks, hills, rivers and other crap that spawns on your farm, this just means that you need to unlock multiple sections just to have the room to harvest 1000s of pumpkins.
A Farmhelper cost 6 tickets to run for 4 hours... You might be able to get 2-4 tickets from a house every hour... And you're lucky if you get a 13x13 area that doesn't have crap in it you can use your farmhand in.
People only cheat in a single player game due to poor development choices. Unfortunately the longer you play this title the more you'll realise it's had a few.
There is no perfect game.
Even if the devs made only great development choices, there are likely to be many players that just prefer some part of it to be different. It's also impracticle and unreasonable to expect devs with their limited time and budgets to put in configurable options for everything in an attempt to please everyone.
If a player can increase their enjoyment with their purchase, including using cheats mods or the like, then I say: Go for it!
A little insight:
First, I create a new farm and try to get a reasonably reasonable card. For this alone I need about 20 to 30 attempts. The attentive reader knows that I find the existing landscape absolutely gruesome. I have written about it many times. No matter in which direction I move, everywhere are hints that block my ideas.
To balance this somewhat, I'll unlock the entire map next. Now I am flexible about the planning of my farm. Finally, a reset of the farm is carried out and set the starting capital at 2,000 coins. No diamonds, no medals, no tickets. All plants and animals are at level 1.
This is my challenge.
Welcome to the fun club of cheaters that DESTROY to maximize their enjoyment! There's punch and pie here, and everyone is welcome to join.
Being able to remove the crap and level the area would remove the need to do this, and I'm pretty sure the majority of people will be rerolling their farms whether they unlock them before or not.
People will say, 'oh that's the challenge, to build around all the crap that spawns', no that's your challenge... AND!!! You wouldn't be forced to remove the crap if there was an option to do so.
These people want everyone else to play the game their way, and only their way. I want choice, a good game to me has choices.
Give me an option to start my farm on a completely flat farm with no crap on it whatsoever... How would me having this option have a negative impact on those like that all the crap spawning on the farm?
All we need is a slider when we set our farms with rich, medium and poor for all currency items.
A slider for crop growth, fast, medium, and slow.
And a check box for a flat, no crap spawn, farm.
That's 3 seemlying easilythings that couldn't completely remove any need I can see for wanting to use cheats in the first place.
they would also remove the biggest 2 flaws with this game I think it has. artificial time sinks and crap all over my farming area.
Seriously, what farmer would setup a farm in the middle of lakes, rivers and giant rocks.
lol, listen at yourself
You want me to play your way, while all I want is a choice.
Not going to jump in on the rest of your conversation, just going to point out that you can farm 500+ tickets per hour, which is far more than you can actually use. Hint: 50 Nuggets is 250 Tickets.
My helpers make me 10k+ Gems and 10.5m+/hr, they're well worth their relatively small cost.
While I agree with you on some of your points, I really think you should better understand how things can be used and their relative value before you try and criticize them
Your argument about the Farmhelpers and Cursed Pumpkins is completely invalid to condone hacking. At level 56 with three farmhelps and two houses, I am still gaining more tickets then spending. And the cursed pumpkins I got probably 8,000 or so from my farm (2,000 or so from others) in 5 days, and I spent the max 3-4 hours a day playing during the event.
To everyone else, I didn't realize there were this many hackers in this game. I don't see a problem hacking in this game, EXCEPT:
You guys are probably discouraging the devs from making the game better. If I was a game developer, and I knew several of my players hacked the game and openly said so to help "fix" problems they didn't like, I would most likely get discouraged and be like "what's the point". The players just hack anyway, so there's no point in updating and fixing the game. If I update the game, player are just going to hack around it.
Where-as if you guys were patient and brought what you didn't like to the devs, they would probably try harder to fix it as they have a higher chance of losing the players.
Just my thoughts and opinions on why I don't think anyone should hack. These devs spent time and energy into the game to create it, and you guys just come in and hack, basically saying "we don't like what you've done, but instead of giving you guys a chance to fix it, I'm going to hack and fix it my way".
I'm not looking to start a fight or anything, merely stating my opinions. I will not be writing anymore here.
Now, my public farm doesn't have those cheats, I refuse to use them on my public farm because I would (not that I have had any) like to have fun with anyone that visits my farm.
Does the cheating hurt anyone? Not really. If you find a farm that is cheating, just leave if you don't want to be there.
