Report a translation problem
There's no randomization on crop duration, and as far as we know there's no bug related to the time left shown in the lower left of the screen, so it should be rather precise (with the exception of weather effects, that can cause slight delays or boosts).
Haven't figured out how to replicate it.
The amount of crops that'll be already watered when placed is randomized, so it's probably a bug, not intentional. Maybe it's due to weather conditions or seasonal change, but I'm not sure what is causing it.
Happened to me with crops that were newly added to the game btw.
You seem to have no idea how hard it can be to track down and replicate certain issues. Especially if you have never encountered them yourself.
