My thoughts on the game.
Now before anybody gets defensive, I would like to say, I really like this game. I just want to share you my thoughts on this game, and I would love to hear yours as well on this matter. Most of the things I would love to talk about is mostly negative stuff that really annoys me about this game. Below is a list that just drives me crazy about this game.

* Anti-player game creation: this game has hardly any settings to change the settings of difficulty or tweak certain things it just drives me mad! Also who had the bright idea to make flat world on hard mode! I want to play how I want! No be forced to play how you devs want me to play. If you really think about it, I thought hard mode would be less farm space FYI more hills, mountains, rivers like the first map. That should be hard mode, flat world should be easy. My older brother walked in when I tried hard mode and was like that’s stupid every other games hard mode is less space to farm. I was like ikr.
* The long Grind: this game has a lot in it I love it for the price tag. I just hate it when games such as this one to make the game feel like it has more to it by making players be forced to wait long times to smash a apple to make a jar 5 min wait time per use, or like the plants and animals that takes 1 hour-2 days or longer to grow to get profit from. I’m like that’s what free to play games do, I have to wait that fking long for a $20 game!? I know it’s farming but man least farming simulator 19 gave you player freedom to speed up time! Don’t get me started on houses, man who had the bright idea to make houses take 4 days to make? I’m like really LOL. Let me just farm and not have grind for so freaking long. Feels like I paid Facebook FarmVille game but they kept the long wait times in the game still.
* Lack of ribbons: we use to get ribbons for house duties, now they are gone? Why are you devs make the game more Grindy? Try make the game feel like it has more content as a $60 triple game? By forcing us to wait long hours or days to play? Let me play and not be forced to wait days and days to get freaking 2-3 ribbons. Also a applies to houses and farming.

My ideas
* give players freedom to create any world they want and not forcing them to play a certain way aka remove hard mode from a certain map. Should be added if we want a challenge for any map we play on.
* give player options to control plant growth speed for example ( slow: like what it is set to, normal: cut the time in half, and fast: no longer than a half hour for all plants etc)
* give players options to mess with all times settings. I don’t want to wait 2 days, or hours for a stupid plant to grow, or 4 days for a house to be made. Let me chose how I want to play!

I will still be playing this game, but as time goes on, farming simulator 19 seems like a better deal when it comes to time. I don’t want to be forced to wait to play a game, I want to play! Feels like I have a waiting simulator game, sadly it’s real hours not in game hours,

It's not really a "grind" to just wait for time to elapse. The game is meant to be a little more relaxed. Nearly every farming game is how you want it. I like that this one is more relaxed, it makes it different from all the other ones.

And the 'wait' isn't as big of a deal the bigger your farm gets, and the more there is to do. Takes me over an hour to harvest crops since I do it all myself, and that doesn't include replanting. And my farm isn't even fully filled out. And that's while trying to balance harvesting from trees and flowers that my farmhands don't get.

Plus, sprinklers cut crop harvest time in half. Don't plant 2 day plants unless you're not going to play for 2 days (or 1 day with sprinklers). Not sure what the problem is there. That was the main draw of the game for me.

You can get ribbons pretty fast. You still get ribbons for jobs. Jingle Bells and the Sunflower painting. And you can just buy them for 250k after unlocking a certain store. And just buy more jam presses like everybody else does... fruit > jam > ribbons isn't a long process at all. If you're only getting 2-3 ribbons after "days and days" then you're doing something very, very wrong. I don't think I was getting that few even when I was new and terrible at the game.

I agree the 4 day build for houses is silly though. Only because a house adds quite a bit to the gameplay and ability to customize things. And needing to wait so long to get to it is a bummer. The first one at least should be built faster. But its probably so that your farmer level gets higher so you have more to use in the house by the time it's built. idk, it's not such a big deal now that I have multiple houses. I can wait for yet another one to build.

I see your point of view, and I respect that idea. I just want people understand that some people like myself want more freedom in games such as this. Just want my voice heard that’s all. I really like this game as well, just the time that just gets me. Also wish you didn’t have to feed animals so much. Seems like you spend a lot feeding than profit lol

Also some plants I have to plant to get ribbons. I had to grow so many melons to get ribbons and I’m like wow less room to grow shorter time plants.

Also when I say days to get ribbons I was talking about for new comers that can’t get ribbons other ways besides missions. Yea some missions require days to reach to fulfill the mission

Don't plant melons for ribbons - plant apple/mango/tamarind trees - you harvest those every season, then with the jam press you get ribbons from the jam. So they are by far the quickest way to get ribbons.

There are plenty of other games that offer you the kind of freedom you're looking for. Farm Together, like Elvick said, is meant to be more relaxed not allow you to speed through the process. If that kind of mechanic bothers you, I suggest going to find something else that fits what you want.

The overall mechanic of this game is fine, and I'm okay with not being able to speed up plants. As mentioned sprinklers will cut crop growth time in half, and while it's hard to earn ribbons in the beginning that's the point; to get you used to doing things manually before allowing them to be done automatically. Once you start unlocking certain things ribbons are very easy to come by, and farm hands are tremendously helpful for animals. My animals are 100% automated now and I spend no time feeding them and all the time profiting off them.

I agree that we should be allowed to toggle hard mode on and off at our discretion and it shouldn't be a forced off for regular maps and on for flat maps. I'd like to see us getting more farm hands for more automation, as 15 is not nearly enough. I think houses should be tweaked so that the less it costs the less time it takes to build, so a house that costs 50 gems takes less time than a house that costs 250 gems, to make it easier for new players to get access to houses since those help unlock a lot of things too.

But overall this is a game about patience, and things aren't going to speed up. You can find ways to make it go a bit faster, but overall it takes time and it's okay to step away and do something else for a few hours while your crops are taking their time to grow :)

Pay to wait
No interaction
Theres nothng but more waiting

I wish the devs would use all these beautiful assets and make a game
Not a timer

Best and worst purchase ive made (twice...)

So much potential in the engine.. Its a beautiful game.. Im really hoping theyll stop selling DLC and work on a nice game mode

eh... usually if something takes days you get way more than 2 ribbons from it. Unless you mess up and can't afford something. The easier it is to finish the less of a payoff it is. And I don't see the issue, you have to start somewhere. Progress and it's not much an issue. I went from 0 to 30 down to 6 then up to 42 in just a few hours today. And I'm nowhere near where a lot of PC players are on their farms so I can only imagine how effective they are at earning them.

The further in you get the more these issues you're having go away. You get better crops which take less time, but cost more gold to plant (but have decent payoff). Add in the sprinklers and it's even less time.

The early game is a bit boring in comparison to what it becomes later on. I didn't have an issue with it at the time, but when I compare it to what I get to do now... yeah I can see why people may not like that. As mentioned, you have to do more manually early on and as you progress you can start to automate and speed things up a lot. And fill out your "waiting" with other things.

Give it some more time.

I don't think speeding up the game makes any sense. I don't even have enough time as it is each season. Especially if I get busy customizing a house, I end up losing multiple seasons in there without realizing it.

Yes, the waiting times are a burden and unnecessary at the market stands and shops. They merely prevent the player from selling his goods. It is not clear from the game why they are required. It would not hurt the game at all if these waits were removed.
Many players put a whole battery of stalls on their farms to get around waiting times. So why not remove it now?

That different plants have different growth times is traceable. But you should stay on the carpet, because this is about real time. Seven days real time to harvest, I find really utopian. I do not understand the four days of construction. If you have the necessary utensils, why can not you continue?
